There's been nothing to watch this summer so I found that old TV show Battlestar Galactic, (no not the 1980's one) the 2000's one. It's pretty good. Kinda low budget but all things considered they had a gazillion sets they had to create so overall it's not bad. It does kinda draw you into the storyline even if it's not starwars quality. It's pretty cool if you ask me, the only place I found copies though was pbay. If you like star trek, starwars, sci fi etc this is something you'd like.

But there's one question you need to ask, how do we know you're not a Cylon?

LOST IN SPACE brilliant
also as a kid they used to rerun
LAND OF THE GIANTS

great childhood days till i got involved with my zx spectrum

Oh yeh the outer limits.
this was my fave episode

Dr. Jack Henson (David Hyde Pierce) is conducting experiments in simulating time in prison for a powerful Senator which he says will free up space, money and curtail what he feels are inhumane punishments. The first prisoner visibly experiences twenty years in prison, though in reality twenty minutes passed, and is tearfully grateful to be released

I think the outer limits and also the twighlight zone used to be my all time favourites when i was a kid... i remember sneaking downstairs at midnight sometimes to watch those on the TV

And one film that also marked me at that time was the Original Blob film (love to see that one again)

Kindest respects

hya

I got both the blobs,
The original was good but i prefer the remake, only cos i was a kid then, and video nasties were the thing.

My first vid nastie was cannibal holacaust at 7 yrs old, but nowadays is laughable.

I remember the original book not the one that was based upon the screen play that came out years later. In it the Cylons were humanoid and not androids. The technology between Man and Cylon was evenly matched, both developed at the same rate and both were equally aggressive. Actually a perfect match, thus a thousand year war with no victory in sight for either one. Fantastic story way beyond the capabilities of Hollywood to produce at the time.

So the screen play had many changes to the story that included Cylons as androids, size of the spaceships and other things. So if you were to go by the original book, you would know your a Cylon and not a Human. If you go by the screen play...you might be in for a shock if you were in fact a Cylon made to look like a Human and not know.

Last summer I was without satellite for a couple of months, and my husband has the complete set of Babylon 5. Plus the movies they did.
The show seemed rather corny at first, but after a couple of episodes, I was completely hooked.
Good show. I should watch it again...

I liked Battlestar Galactica too. Those space shows are even better when it's the only thing your watching until you've seen every episode

They don't make enough good space shows. I enjoy those the most.

I checked out the trailer and it looks kinda weak but if it's like you say then who knows. I should write that down somewhere and try it.

Ya so I finished season 1 of BSG. It was pretty good. Really gets you thinking, it's a neet story line. What's weird about it is like that kind of thing might be like as little as 100 yrs into the future. By that time there would be robots, and maybe getting advanced enough that they no longer want to serve humans.
