This is very fake. If Snowden was a real threat to national security(classified information and strategic intelligence information)they would have listed him as a enemy combatant and drone attacked his car like they did hastings.Maybe they hire a blackop paramilitary contractor like blackwater to capture him and banish him to a black site secret prison to elevated interrogate(tortured) while they tell the sheeple public "he commited suicide" and "we buried him at sea".

My guess would be that they are too high profile by now.. if either one of them end up dead, it will pretty much reassure the public that something sinister really is going on behind the scenes.

I mean look at the bizarre nature of the Mike Hastings death.. well seemed kind of fishy to me, not sure about others. I feel that snowden is a true whistle blower, because the revelations about the NSA he has presented just solidified what people had already thought was happening.

I could be wrong though.

more to point whats been revealed is just slightly more than what has been revealed on at least two other occasions in the last few years. I don't think there is any one in the west who doesn't know that the state can get court orders to listen/see private communications. Even before 9/11. The UK was doing it in N.I donks ago. Yet people forget when the next "breaking" story comes along. Sure the US would like to punish him, but what he has revealed is not really that significant in terms of public knowledge. Its an abuse of privacy but electronic transfer of information is not the same as a private conversation.

Yes this was done here, it was done at the BBC in London by MI5/6 for vetting would be staff for all the usual suspects and there were innocent victims both here and at the BBC.
I have to say though that Snowden's revelations include private conversations, and there are many ways of doing that. The cordless handset and its station is in that function. The handset is pretty much the same as a mobile/cell, the stations have considerable memory, and perhaps more.
