In Berlin, Naked Man Wielding Knife At Landmark Fountain Shot By Police

BERLIN — Police fatally shot a naked man who brandished a knife at officers in a landmark Berlin fountain on Friday, officials said.

Passers-by reported in the morning that a man was behaving strangely and carrying a long knife in the Neptune fountain, near Berlin's city hall, police spokesman Stefan Redlich said.

He was apparently injuring himself with the knife, although the video shows him walking towards an officer and being shot twice. Notice how the cop shoots, and almost falls over the wall......
This is a pretty sad story, im sure more will come to light as the days pass.

Most probably debt and mental health issues. I cant find any more on the story, even though it happened a few hours ago. Maybe il have to search some german sites

Perhaps it's another case of "suicide by cop"? So many of these lately, it makes me wonder if there is some underlying cause other than the typical mental health issues. Or, the media is reporting on them more....

Still, quite strange if you ask me.
