The most epic song ever created is by Johann Pachelbel. And it's his Canon in D.

en.wikipedia.org...

This chords of this song are used in most of the greatest hits of the past 50 years.

en.wikipedia.org...:SP-KP/List_of_songs_using_the_Pachelbel_chord_progression

Here is a comedian ranting about how he hates Canon in D

And here is Axis of Awesome singing many songs that use the chords from Canon in D.

Embedded for you:

Loads of songs here that I would have to call "epic". I DO like Tool. How about:

It's gotta rock. Pearl Jam's Alive. Skynyrd's Free Bird. Good examples. Here's a relatively new band, Black Keys. Don't really care for the band but this song is ROCKIN:

well, here are some that seem to have a good story to them (I'll probably think of more later):

American Pie
Alice's Restaurant
Band on the Run
Seasons in the Sun
Blowin' in the Wind
Goodnight Saigon (Billy Joel)
In the Living Years

You evil, evil being! I love Canon in D, I have since I was like 5 and forced my grandmother to play it for me over and over much to her dismay. She probably felt like the guy in the second video.
I wanted this song as my wedding song before it became popular! Now it is used in every single wedding it seems. Every one who has ever used this song for their wedding stole the idea from me!

So now, I see these videos and it has killed my love for this song just a little more.
I am going to curl up in a corner and cry.

Too many but my top favorites are

I heard this song first when I was 15 and it changed my whole world, no song ever recorded brings back as many wonderful mamories as this one. Always an SP fan

youtu.be...

This one because well it made me believe and gave me room to dream anything I dared to
.
youtu.be...

This one because it reminds me to remember the little things in life and take enjoyment in them when I can. And his voice, god his voice is lovely as can be.

youtu.be...

Lastly This one because her voice is unmatched, beautifully sung and she was only 15 I believe, it's very moving.
