China to launch 3 Astronauts into Space

.....BEIJING (Reuters) - China will launch its next manned rocket in the middle of this month, carrying three astronauts to an experimental space module...

The Shenzhou 10 space ship and its rocket had already been moved to the launch area at a remote site in the Gobi desert, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

Once in orbit, the Shenzhou 10 will link up with the Tiangong (Heavenly Palace) 1 module...

Chinese astronauts carried out a manned docking with the module for the first time last June.

The Tiangong 1 is a trial module, not the building block of a space station.

The more the merrier! Maybe the chinese government should be invited to send a chinanaut or two onto the space station at some point soon. To have another country really making an effort to play in space is a good sign for the science and for exploration in general. And think of the dehydrated food they will bring along! With three chinanauts you get egg roll.

its about time they send intelligent people into space

integrated minds compiling data present broader outcomes, no? of course current world standards exist and so military & political boundaries of communications and information exist but the image of a world doing it utilizing those combined developed technologies to advance...

Aw, man, and to think I wouldn't go there. Maybe we'll see some photos or activity not exactly sanctioned for public consumption aboard the ISS.
