KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - Police are seeking clues after someone found a pair of eyes sitting in a package on top of a trash bin outside a Northland gas station.

A stunned worker at a Conoco, located at Northwest 112th Street and Northwest Ambassador Drive, called police about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday. This came ater the clerk found a cardboard box labeled "keep refrigerated."

I can see how this could be a problem...

If it turns out to be medical waste, I don't understand how this could happen by accident at all, not at a gas station. And if it's medical malpractice of some sort, then they are just idiots for leaving it in a public place.

Oh, and this isn't reddit. At least some discussion would be nice.

Looks like medical waste of a non-human nature. Non-human eyeballs are used for all sorts of things including school dissection (have had the dubious pleasure of dissecting eyeballs personally). The "keep refrigerated" is a bit of a clue but somebody certainly disposed of those peepers improperly.

And, yeah. The article states it was probably pigs eyes.

For anatomy we had to dissect eyes so it was probably something like that.

i dont even know why im replying but it would appear that the op and subsequent poster both failed to read the article
as it makes it clear in the article that these were not human eyes and were likely those of a pig..... which could have ended up there for any number of reasons (maybe our friends in the blue toyota were fond of pig eyes and they had started to go bad.... point is there was no crime committed and this is a nonstory)

Maybe they were just the two eyes in the back of his head so he does not need them???
