Cynical old fart that I am, I want to wish all ATS'ers a happy and safe St. Patricks Day from Ireland.

Be safe and be nice to each other, however you choose to (ahem) celebrate.

Sláinte mo chairde.

There's 2 types of people. Those that are Irish and those that wished they were. I fall in the latter but both of my exes were Irish decent. Damn hot women, in more ways than one.
Irish culture, alive and well in Canada.

Have a great weekend folks.

No Des, I tend to keep it quiet, a 'drop of whiskey' and a quiet night in for me.

From about 6 o' clock onwards once the parades etc. finish, Irelands streets can be dodgy places.
My days of dodging vomit, urine, broken glass and random acts of drunken violence are behind me I'm afraid.

A wee bit of this then? One of my favorite single malts. Don't care for Black Bush though. Blends.

Wheels in party wagon to Humans thread......

Then, we'll just have a St. Paddy Days Party in your thread...how's that sound to you....

No drunks in the street, no urine and broken glass to step over...just party right here with you....

Single Malts in cabinet on the left....

Apart from a 'Redbreast' single malt (deliciously expensive) a drop of Bushmills is my favourite tipple.
I commend your taste good sir!

If you want to keep it that way I suggest you not mention this to any of the other staff.

Destinyone, you and your impressive party wagon are most welcome.

(Probably best not let the Mods know the location of the single malts before we sample them ourselves)

Ah yes O' Nachos, decorating Irish pavements for years.
Marinade thoroughly in Guinness for extra projectilivity :

So....... yesterday I did our weekly shopping.......... and !zounds! there's a stack or corned beef! Haven't seen corned beef in the store since .......................... whenever (that won't get better with age). Found some sorta-kinda-fresh Brussell sprouts.

Just dawned on me this afternoon what tomorrow is. Just started marinating the corned beef in Guiness, and going to slow-cook it tomorrow in same, adding potatoes after a few hours, then carrots, then the brussells. Going to thicken the sauce a bit and have some very spicy homemade mustard.

I hope to be sufficiently vertical as to avoid wearing most of the above. No parade here. Few Irish, however the people tend to celebrate anything that involves food and drink.

It's on.
