VICE Video: The Business of War: SOFEX

Another great video here by VICE. This one they go to SOFEX which basically stands for "Special Operations Forces Exhibition Conference" which is held in the country of Jordan. Shane raises some good points through out the video.

They even try to ask about rockets that were "illegally" obtained by Iraqi insurgance. However the vendor found out that they were Americans and basically didn't want anything to do with them after the fact. No questions, so that was that. But the shear volume of weapons that anyone could buy with right amount of money is just flat out crazy. Those same weapons will be used to attack each other later...

SOFEX is where the world's leading generals come to buy everything from handguns to laser-guided missile systems. It stands for "Special Operations Forces Exhibition Conference" and it's essentially a trade-show where just about anyone with enough money can buy the most powerful weapons in the world.
