Farmers baaa-ffled after hundreds of sheep are branded with smiley face

A MYSTERIOUS smiley face has appeared stamped on the side of hundreds of sheep across the UK.

The odd image was first spotted on 20 animals grazing in a field in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.

There have since been sightings in a further five fields, from Perthshire in Scotland to Exeter, 500 miles away in Devon

OK so which one of you Brit members is doing this? Next time why not use the ATS logo.

Seriously though this seems to be too spread out to be the work of one person or group, I'm guessing this has to be a coordinated act. Has anyone heard more about this or have an explanation?

That commonly done to identify who they belong to.

What baffles me is how did whoever did this get close enough to graffiti them like that, sheep are pretty skidish.

500 miles really isn't that far. Easily do able in 8 hours. Either someone with no life, or a truck driver.

Freaky. Sheep, no doubt, are branded with a smiley face that resembles the joker.
How ironic.

This event has reminded me of the Smiley Face killer(s) who would spray paint smiley faces on a pole or bridge where ever he/they left a dead body. Pretty interesting story. C2C AM did a couple of segments on these murders, but I don't believe they ever made any arrests.


I'm not saying that these crimes are related, but I'm also strangely reminded of Batman. Anyways, if it was just a prank, these people are probably members of ATS. If these sheep had a choice of getting abducted or getting branded with the joker's face, I'd have chosen the branding, too.

I find it absolutely amazing the lengths TPTB will go to to cover things up.
Sheep get smiley faces then all of a sudden theres a new roller coaster that uses it as a logo, yeah right!!!!

You know things are bad when animals start getting vandalised! What's next? Buisness logo's painted on the sides of cows. He wait a minute! That's actually a good idea! This could be my ticket boys! First, I just have to get some cows, then some land by a major highway.


Anyways, on topic, this reeks of a gag to me.
