Just this evening after taking a shower for work, a slight feeling/premonition that our household would be without power, can't say for sure for how long but, have told family members to be prepared for lest 3 days and keep a flash light handy.

as of last weekend.. my place of employment had 2 power bumps.

anyone else have issues with electricity in their area(s) .. ?

Do you often get premonitions, in the shower no less?

I'm just curious.

Thanks for posting

Don't usually take these premonition postings into account, but my stereo was doing very weird power things this afternoon. Everything else on same power bar was fine.

Never happened before. I live in British Columbia, Canada.

Likely not related, but hey. Hopefully I don't need to buy a new stereo soon. lol

I usually take premonitions, including my own, with a grain of salt.. as odd as your stereo is acting up, yesterday before work, my electrical system in my wifes car was flickering...not dimming and coming back, but, actually flickering quickly every 5 secs or so.. lasted for about 30 secs; never seen a car do that and if I have .. it's been a VERY long time.

just replaces the belt a year ago, and had it checked 3 months ago, still like new; replaced the battery a year ago as well, had the btry go dead about a month ago do to the trunk lid not closing all the way. Other than that, never had an issue with the electrical system..

just chalking it up to car being old i guess

In the UK in the 70's we had many power cuts.

en.wikipedia.org...

We're still here.

To my understanding...

This 'premonition' can be an illusion in many ways..think of it as a mask over what it really is. Believing that it represent an actually interruption in current flow or the stoppage of a voltage source would probably, in turn, lead to it actually happening in your life.

I propose that you take a step back, in a sense. Take what you have 'seen', and analyze it. Never stop asking questions.

It's winter. There's always someone skidding off the road into power poles.
Common theme up here

If it's something they can't fix in one day, it's definitely time to worry.
The work crews are sent out immediately when power goes out in the winter here.

Agreed.

Here in the UK, we are bound to get a few power cuts now and again. It's winter. The weathers rubbish.

Pretty predictable really.

CX.
