Some of the lessons currently being learnt since the shift in warfighting following the "close of hostilities" are really interesting. It is shown that in a firefight like this, the side that gets up the largest volume of fire the quickest tends to win. Consequently, everybody is encouraged to let rip even if it's just supressive fire in the general direction. There are some really interesting descriptions of techniques for engagements in the book "Thunder Run", anybody interested in the iraq war and military stuff in general should definately check it out, it's very well written. Anyway, that's mostly what they're doing is just getting up their volume of fire initially, then looking at hitting targets afterwards.

I love the fat guy with the AT4, he sounds like a kid wanting to fire that thing.
