So just woke up to find various alerts about an event that took place early this morning.

iswa.ccmc.gsfc.nasa.gov... /

This shows a quick and dense eruption will impact towards Monday. Looks impressive. As far as cme ratings go it was a tiddler, C 3.7. Quite unusual to see this particle mass generated from a small event.

Doubt it will impact much but it looks good. What we dont want is another event in the next day or two.

Is it nearside or farside?.. Yesterday also a sunspot on the farside of the sun exploded. It was a massive explosion where CME travelled far.

A sunspot on the farside of the sun exploded on Sept. 27th, sparking a bright flare of extreme ultraviolet radiation and hurling a massive CME into space. Although the explosion occurred on the other side of the sun, it was visible by NASA’s 3-D app on cell phones around Earth. –Space Weather

Did anyone actually watch the explosion on 3-D cell phone application?

Ok hopefully this link will show it better

iswa.gsfc.nasa.gov...

This event occurred after the far side event on 27th. Just before midnight I believe.

Ok thats weird.

Just checked back at website and data has been amended. Doesn't show anything like earlier prediction. Only shows far side CME eruption and nothing for earth directed event.

Go figure.
