You were DRIVING at night WITHOUT your glasses? Now that's pretty scary right there! And your curiosity was "piqued." Good. Highway 512 goes to
Puyallup, right? OK, then 167 from Puyallup could take you up to I-405 which could take you to I-90, I giess, which is the only easy route over the
Cascade Mountains. I suppose they could have taken SR-12 to I-90 directly, but I can't see how it would fit.
SO, bottom line is I'm having trouble imagining such a convoy getting to JBLM and even a harder time thinking it came from Fairchild, which is an AFB.
I mean, if it could be carried in an airplane, even something like a Guppy, why not fly it directly to McChord?
Are you sure this thing didn't come from Boeing Renton or some place closer?
