He took the money that his dad was owed. His dad paid for his social security, when he died the money he paid was given to him because he was underage at the time. I don't see anything wrong with this.....

There is nothing wrong with it. It is not that he "took" the money but that he was legally entitled to it after his Dad likely spent his life working to pay into the system. We all were caught in that system set up by socialists to begin with and now that Social Security is bankrupt, Ryan is trying to help fix the problem, but as always, the socialists do not want this problem fixed.

Apparently no one noticed that Ryan SAVED the money instead of just spending it on cigarettes or music. Never mind that his Dad died when he was still young and he still managed to make it in the world.

Oh wait, someone did notice that and has criticized him for it....

I wonder what Obama would have done with money like this ?

Hmmm..

"
" around I would imagine

Maybe he would have used it as "collateral" for some loans so he could practice some wild binge spending ...

Nice to know that Paul Ryan took ADVANTAGE of Social Security money to get an education YET, for those of us average Americans WHO ACTUALLY EARNED IT, he wants to make sure we dont get any of it when we desperately require it to survive when the time comes that we are too old to work any longer and need a REST from slaving our life away..

REAL SWELL GUY, eh?

Now try to imagine a world where all that slaving resulted in money in your own bank account and you had no need for the government to dictate how much you are worth.

sounds to me like what you are saying is that if you can't afford an education you don't get one - because the ony measure of a human being's worth is the amount of money they (or their parents) make - is that correct?

Social Security is not welfare. I've been paying it since I was 14 years old through paycheck deductions.

If I die before I can collect social security benefits at age 67, I forfiet a lifetime of gov't deductions from my paychecks. My current bi-weekly gov't deduction is $89.52. Social Security is not welfare in the United States.

In the USA, you don't need a "college" education to make yourself money. If you can start a business, and work hard, YOU can be successful, YOU don't need the GOV:T, YOU need the GOV'T to get out of your way. That's the difference between communism and free market enterprise. ASK ANY OF THE IDIOT ACTORS AND ACTRESSES in HOLLYWOOD that.

I know someone who works for the SS administration in Milwaukee County, seems that the welfare people don't put a father's name on the birth certificate, and then when some gangster gets killed, the "MOM' goes to the SS administration and attempts to claim the corpse is the father to claim her SS benefits.

MANY, many come in........ the Welfare State......

Not correct. Nor do I understand where you got that question (in my post I meant literal monetary worth) so I will simply state some things I believe which may or may not provide an answer.

I believe a persons worth is defined by themselves and nobody else and that living in a free country should allow you the freedom of living your mistakes as well as your successes. I don't need the government to plan my retirement or to dole my earnings out to my widow. They can stop pilfering my pay and I'll handle things myself thank you.

The ultimate ATS political hypocrisy is labeling the MSM as evil and then supporting their agenda by promoting and voting for the candidate they are shoving down our throats.
