The day we sold our souls

The day we bought the farm

The day america started to end

January 20, 2001

Do you know what happened on that day?

George Bush inauguration.

Why was that the day? Please explain. As there are so many other candidates for "the day we lost our country"

Really?
Another Bush bash thread.

Look precious, you can go back much further in America's past to find a more plausible answer to your question.

EDIT: Sorry Maluhia, I confused you with the OP.

That's the day George W. Bush took office after the supreme court ruled it so. The day we let him take office on that decision was the day we lost the country.

Another Bush bash thread? Those are a rarity here on ATS. We spend all our time bashing Obama. Go read Bush's Presidential history.

December 23 1913 was way worse than the Bush family.

Bush is only the output.

Really?

Or was it when almost fifty percent, or more, of Americans decided not voting, or participating in any fashion in the governing of our own nation was easier than actually trying to make a difference...

I think the latter.

But then it's always easier to blame someone, anyone, other than the folks looking back at us out of the mirror.

Isn't it?

Are you going somewhere with this or is that it? While Jr was not by any a measure a good President he is hardly worst or nation ending.

Spewing the same garbage over and over again does not make it so.

You keep saying the day Bush took office we lost our country. Please explain why. Are you able to do that? Why do you think this way? It makes no sense.

I guess you have not been around here a long time.
Bush is one of the favorite targets.

Different symptom, same problem. Lack of interest, lack of back bone.

Go read the very first actions Bush took after stealing the presidency. His resume reads more like Stahlin, than an American President.

When you all vote Romney into office, remember that.

You might want to take a bit closer look at Stalin...

While I'll grant you, the shrub was not stellar as President, he in no fashion, resembles Stalin.

As for the "stolen" election? Rehashing that is not how I'm going to spend my morning...sorry.

As for voting for Romney? Not happening in this lifetime. I'm voting Libertarian, and hoping for a miracle...

I'm very serious about this. I'm worried that Romney is in fact, the final piece. If you examine Bush's record and some of the conspiracy related information, it doesn't look good.

I hope I'm just being paranoid, but the end of this election gives me a sinky feeling.

I can make the case for Nov 22, 1963 (JFK Assassination) OR the day that the Continuity Of Government (COG) plans and it's sub-parts (under Rex 84; Operations Garden Plot and Cable Splice) were implemented and directed at the American people instead of being set up for the aftermath of a nuclear attack by a foreign enemy.

Posts like this are bad for ATS, cryptic and not providing any new information.

It was George Bush's inauguration, for those wanting to know, the day his election theft was officially sanctioned.

Personally, I think the two dates that Americans lost the United States were October 26, 2001, the date that the laughingly named PATRIOT act was signed into law, and January 21, 2010, which was the date of the Citizens United Supreme Court ruling.

The two dates SHOULD go down in infamy in the history of the United States.

Bad for ATS? How is the promotion of truth bad for ATS?

This thread is encouraging people to learn and bringing them up to speed.

There is no promotion of truth in this thread, unless the details of why you're posting this are included.

Just posting a cryptic thread with no actual information in it as to why you think this was the day Americans lost their country is a bad start to a thread, IMHO, which is why I helped to explain it !
