Two important issues have come to my attention that make me wonder if some folks out there are working on 'contingency plans' should Bush win the election.

The first is that of the 'assassin at large.' Here are some posts about him:

The second is that of the 'coup de etat' that some contend is underway in the US. Apparently, it involves both the Valerie Plame affair, the rationale for going to Iraq and other issues. Here are some posts about that:

-Apparently you can't testify about your president when you're still working for the government so these resignations become important.

Anyone else see signs pointing to imminent contingency planning? Let me know if you do, I'm quite interested.

I'm also keeping an eye on these stories.

Some additional threads...

On the "assassin at large" story:

Threat against President Bush in NY..man still loose????

On the Coup d'etat angle:

The Mounting Insurgency to George W. Bush (from within)

In addition the "attacks" on the Republican headquarters are an interesting development. They can be served to ratchet up the fear of an attempt on Bush.

Still waiting for the "October Surprise" which I am 100% sure will NOT come from "Goldstein".
