270 German Leopard2-Tanks

Ive seen it yesterday on TV but the Report i found on a site is a bit older..

I´m German and reputable newspapers are saying that the deal will be cut because of concerns. One politican said (context) "If it were Uboats, that would be okay, but tanks are a little bit concerning".

The source from this source is "BILD am Sonntag". It´s a attention seeking bull# paper that only idiots read. Don´t take to much on this. BTW, there must be many idiots, its Germany´s biggest daily printed newspaper. Costs 60cent or so. Its more pictures then valuable information. The headlines are almost every time misleading.

The tanks woud be put to good use in a fight to the death with Iran...And i think thats what this is comming down to....
Slowly by slowly the gloves are comming off over there, and the smaller states are being offered a choice....(not much of one)
be with the west, or be anihalated by Iran eventually....
I think this is whats being inferred to these shiekdoms and emirates etc.....
The west is gonna fight with Iran sooner or later.....and you better be on the winning side if you want to remain in power, So they are gonna buy as much matching war materiel for convenience and manouver...
Besides this is the tank of the day....
Saudis are spending ike drunken sailors, these days...
Nice to get that oil money back hey?

Just wanted to say

Interesting that the Saudi's want twice as many Leopards as Germany itself has.

Interesting that the Saudi defence ministery have chosen the German leopard 2 (pso) peace support ops variant rather than the American Abrams (TUSK) tank urban survival kit variant.

Both MBTs are upgraded "Battlefield" tanks specific to urban operations. FIBUA to those in the know..
Personaly im a big Leopard 2 fan, But the selling point Imo for the Leopard is the dozer blade

Note the urban camoflage system as used by the old BAOR Berlin Brigade (Cold war) think check point charlie..



Abrams TUSK variant..

The saudis!!!! There monarchy prefers mercenaries rather than their own people.The people hate that leader ... a jew and a monster.

The Germans should go ahead and sell the tanks; that's good money to be made.
