yeah, they don't let you climb up the steps anymore!! it is so amazingly quiet there.....I can't imagine how hot it must be in the summer time though!

If you are in the area (from Cancun to Belize) you can climb the pyramids of Coba (discovered by Charles Lindbergh (aviator) from a zeppelin). Coba was the second largest ancient city of the Americas. It is mostly destroyed by "Archaeologists" that used dynamite for exploring, but there still is some magnificent pyramids, ball courts and calanders there.

You had a picknik on those steps. I managed to get bitten by fire ants. That was an experience.

Cool that they still let people go inside the pyramids there.



OP, Where else did you visit temple wise when you were in the Yucatan? Talum, Uxmal, Palenque. share with us please!
