TEHRAN - Iran's supreme court on Monday dismissed an execution sentence passed by a revolutionary court against an Iranian-American national accused of spying for the CIA, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

Its a short story with no definate end yet, but i sense that the mullahs are either trying to show that the goverment is just and impartial....as well as mollify any US blowback from executing one of our own.....
I believe they have finally realised that Isreal will actually do exactly what it says it will, vis a vis the nukes.....
The Iranis may be scrambling to slow the fall of the now inevitable hammer blow.....or maybe even stop it altogether....
This could be the first of iranis moves calculated to difuse the tense pre strike atmosphere.....
further moves by Iran may be to allow oil to countries who they have cut off if the weather turns cold this spring....much like the oil for old people program of Chavez....
Other measures to de monsterfy the Iranian regime without apearing to admit any form of weakness may be forthcomming......

Iran is trying to do everything and anything to keep the U.S. Firmly in control of the U.S. order to Israel that will not allow them to Bomb Iranian Nuclear Sites and Irradiate the whole Middle East. Only the U.S. has the capability to secure all Iranian Nuclear Sites with Tens of thousands of Special Forces and Airborne Rangers.

This would be in conjuction of a total destruction of Irans Navy and Airforce and First Use of Secret and Highly Powerful Non-Nuclear EMP devices to render innert an Iranian Ground Counter attack. Split Infinity

This idea of putting any U.S. forces into Iran is an absolutely terrible idea. This isn't a backward nation. It really isn't. These folks are nationalistic and tribal in many different directions. No U.S. presence there will be tolerated for even the brief period we had in Iraq.

If we go into Iran, we might as well stop calling this a war all together and just call it a Crusade. Those fighting US sure will be and they'll be fighting us with that level of fanatic passion, IMO. We'll be fighting for another 20 years if we start troop presence on Iranian soil.

Deterrence would work if the U.S. would just outright state with no ambiguity or game playing that any attack out of Iran would be met with such overkill of retaliatory force, they'll spend a decade rebuilding from it.

No troops...and likely NEVER actually needed, if the threat is truly and honestly BELIEVED. That's kept the peace this long. That is what has changed. We're not taken seriously anymore.....and no one else cares to really stop this whole thing from happening.

The scenario I described was a last case action. It would be done only in Iran tried to close the Strait...declared it had a Nuclear Bomb...true or not...or directly attacked U.S. Forces. Bombing Iranian Nuclear sites is not an option as this would irradiate the whole Middle East.
Israel if they bombed them would cause this catastrophe so direct securing of the sites would have to be done. The U.S. would have to use some advanced weapons to protect those American Special forces and Rangers so the U.S. would employ Non-Nuclear EMP devices dropped by B-2's as well as smaller ones that can fit inside the Bomb Bays of F-22's.

These EMP's would stop any Iranian Counter attack in it's tracks. The whole idea is to save as many lives as possible especially that over 70% of Irans population is under 30 years old and is Pro-Democratic.

I know... and I'm getting a little touchy because all the sources who normally stand as the voice of reason and a solid counter to reactionary stuff like one finds here, are as loud and almost hysterical at times as any of the most extreme posters on ATS or other similar sites. That isn't just bad to my eyes, it's calamitous.

Now that we're about to feel what it's like to understand millions of people who were alive the day before, aren't now...I'm just losing all enthusiasm for war gaming things here. It's lost any amusement or humor it ever held..as it looks like I'll know and be related to some of those we'll see stomping around Iranian towns now.

As far as last resorts..... Given the stakes here, if last resorts are what we're down to, then the U.S. needs to drop the crap and end the games. We have nuclear weapons. IF the situation is SO DIRE that hundreds of thousands dead in combat is acceptable, then nuke the REAL targets and end it. Otherwise.... Our leaders need to stop looking at war as some national level extreme-sport they can engage in for a variety of self serving reasons. This is SO wrong.

W2000...the U.S. doesn't need to use Nuclear Weapons if it had to go to a Quasi-State of War with Iran. We could do what I described very easily without using Nuclear Weapons. Now if an Iranian Truck Nuke....because if they have developed a nuclear weapon...it would be HUGE as they do not have the current tech. to make a small one...and it would be a Fission Bomb not a Thermonuclear one.

It would probably have a nominal yeild of about 5 to 7 Kilotons...smaller than those dropped on Japan and perhaps even less of a yeild given their archaic method of Enrichment of Weapons grade fuel.

The U.S. is working VERY HARD behind the scenes with elements of both the Pro-Democracy Leadership as well as DIRECT communication with Iranian Military Leaders as the Generals and Admirls of Iran KNOW that the U.S. Military is not a group to mess with...and to do so would end in the destruction of the entire Iranian Navy and Airforce in just a few hours...the tough part is securing all Iranian Nuclear Installations while countering Iranian Ground Forces...without killing a Million plus amout of Iranians...so the U.S. would use the New Non-Nuclear EMP devices...these are ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSE Bombs that when dropped over a target...only create this pulse which will knock out anything with electronics...Tanks, Trucks, Troop Carriers, Missles, Radar...just about everything an ARMY needs to transport and fight a War.

If we had to use USAF Aircraft with Conventional Smart Bombs or a High Altitude formation of B-52's flying too high to be shot down but equiped with a new generation of Smart Bombs that in a CARPET BOMBING STYLE RUN...do not waste any bomb as these type of bombs carry sensors as well as GPS that allow the bomb to burst over target and direct smaller bomblets directly to enemy vehicles and troops. These bomblets are not like the old cluster bombs as they are independently directed and have a time limit if unexploded and render themselves innert to follow new treaty guide lines that the E.U. has brought to the World Court....thus kids can't get killed playing with unexploded ordinance. This type of Bombing would not occur if the EMP devices are sucessfull...as they have been in testing.

Unfortunately...I would hate to be some 18 year old kid on the deck of some archaic Iranian Naval Ship or in an Iranian Sub that was ordered to close the Strait of Hormuz. This is why the CIA and DIA have been in contact...without the knowledge but with the suspicion of the Old Religious Guard Leadership. If those NUTZ ordered their Navy to try to close the Strait...it is hoped that the Communications that we have had with Irans Military Equivelent of the Joint Chiefs of Staff...will allow the Iranian Military Leadership to declare the Old Religious Guard...UNFIT TO LEAD...as what they would be ordering would be MASS SUICIDE OF THE IRANIAN MILITARY...thus giving the Pro-Democracy Leadership a chance of a takeover with the Iranian Militaries help.

Make NO MISTAKE...reguardless of what Iranian Military Leaders have been FORCED to say...is not in anyway what they want to happen or perhaps even do. This happened in Iraq...and Hundereds of Thousands of Lives were saved by Iraqi Military Leadership simply refusing to attack U.S. Forces and standing down. I have heard some here say...IRANIANS are a PROUD people and they would not back down.

It is NOT COWARDLY to stand down in the face of ABSOLUTE OBLITERATION....especially when you know that the ENEMY...is ot really the ENEMY....but just want's what 90% of Iranians want...FREE ELECTIONS, CONTROL OVER THEIR LIVES AND AN END TO STONEAGE LEGAL SYSTEMS. Split Infinity
