Posted on November 9, 2011 Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) says President Obama's continued use of the executive order "brings the modern presidency dangerously close to an elective dictatorship." "That is arrogant," Paul said of Obama frequently using the executive order function as of late. "It is flaunting the Constitution and the whole principle of how we’re supposed to operate. The idea they can just do this and take over the legislative function and brag about it -- and Congress does nothing and the courts do nothing about it, it's very, very bad." "He's dictatorial, is what he is," Rep. Paul said before the end of the interview.

Get 'em, Ron.

Even if you don't believe in 'God', say a prayer that this man gets elected, or at least heard.

How is Obama with his hands and reach more constrained then any other POTUS in history be on the verge of a dictatorship? Where is this logic? If he's a dictator then he obviously isn't that good at it.If memory serves but don't dictatorships get most of everything they want on a silver platter with little to no obstruction?

Like the 5,000 or so 43 did mean nothing?

Frankly, the thought he could get a second term scares the hell out of me, and I'm usually a bit reserved when it comes to drumming up the worst case.

Just look at what he's done, and what this administration would have done had there not been some serious opposition, and a clean sweep in the mid-terms.

After forcing legislation down our throats, that the majority of Americans were clearly against, people are taking notice that something just isn't right.

Take away the concern for any following elections, and I seriously worry about where our country may be headed.

Dr. Paul wouldn't use such language if he didn't mean it, and that alone is worthy of my attention.

pharaonic rule is the appropriate term...I hope I am wrong, but probably not

God Judged the gods of Egypt (Numbers 33:4). This could very well be the encore.

I think that Ron Paul may be senile. He hasn't said anything intelligent since he stated his stance on reducing foreign military bases.

It may seem that way since the media can portray him how they see fit.RP is a brilliant man and is in no way senile,he talks straight so sometimes he can get tripped up but thats why hes so authentic he doesn't go off on these political talking point tangents.

Forgot about this video but its also very good.

The question was rhetorical. Google that.

Funny thing, I don't see anything there about Ron being all upset about W's use of EOs. Lots of good criticism of general Bush policy, as any sane person had, but nothing about EOs. On the first page. Don't have the time or inclination to look further.

Ron Paul should be PRAISING Obama for reducing the use of EO's.

And everyone that responded in support of Ron Paul on this should be ashamed...check your facts first people.

Look at that 20 flags...to me that means 20 people don't know the real facts.

Good catch!

I used to consider myself a strong RP supporter... I was all set to vote for him in '08, until he dropped out. On this round, he seems to have jumped on the anti-Obama hysteria bandwagon... instead of spending time going after Obama for any of the many things he (Obama) is screwing up, Paul is spending time with this kind of nonsense.

To me, that smacks of just another 'conservative', who is in fact, in spite of the picture he wants to portray, marching in lock step with the 'conservative' main stream of McConnel, Bohner, etc etc... in other words, he is not the independent thinker he wants people to think he is, he is just another 'conservative' in the ranks.

He's not as bad as McConnel, Bohner etc, but his adherence to the party line is very disappointing.

Hunting down a US citizen with a drone and murdering him with no due process or trial; and, then going back for his son is not exactly constitutional.

try em, by a jury of their own peers--then hang em. That's supposed to be the American Way.

When a president acts as judge, juror, and executioner, he is more like a dictator, than someone who appreciates a rule of law, bounded by the constitution, as Ron Paul does.

We have no reason to have foreign military bases in other countries. Do we let foreign countries set up military bases here? # bro, are YOU senile? Like half of our budget is spent on defense. #ing ridiculous.

"Ron Paul should be PRAISING Obama for reducing the use of EO's."..... This is like saying the green river killer should be praised for not killing as many people as Hitler.

ETA: political bias and logic seem to be incompatible for some.

Yeah, well Mr. Bush signed way more Executive Orders than Obama. The thing is this, Mr. Paul, it you idiots in the Congress cannot work together with one another to better this country's plight, then indeed, We the People expect our President, whom we elected, to bypass your ignorant and foolish political egotism and try to get some things done. If he goes to far we simply won't re-elect him. Until then, shut up. NO ONE ELECTED YOU and no one will. Your screwball ideas aside, no one can trust a Libertarian. Everyone of them is a "maverick" who doesn't want to co-operate with anyone. And you would have no cabinet, no supporters or staff to run this country correctly because your people are all crazy libertarians like you. That's why you are being pushed aside. That's why you are being neglected in the campaign news, etc. Because you are NOT VIABLE as a LIVE CANDIDATE. You take a few liberal ideas, like legalizing pot, and then mix them up with giving everyone the right to bear 50 caliber machine guns! Your "Republic" would be one of chaos and a very low emotional IQ.
