I just ran across this painting that I thought was very cool. The artist did a really great job at capturing all these famous people. It is neat to see so many historical people all in one painting. Any artist would have to appreciate this work I would think.

I am putting a small picture of it here, but you really should go to the link to see it full size. You can also hover your mouse over the people on the main painting to see who they are.

Have some fun and see how many you can guess without cheating for the answer!

Oh wow, that's pretty neat. The only person I could identify in the entire painting was Bruce Willis...What does that say about me? Starred and Flagged...

Cool post, I could immediately recognize a few dozen people.

And imo, Michael Jordan deserves to be there - after 10 years retired (that Wizards crap doesn't count!) he is arguably still the best to ever play the game.

This is cool.
But really, Hitler and Gandhi in the same photo???
This is a very disturbing painting. It reflects what "fame" means to the painter. Mike Tyson and Michael Jordan are the only two African-Americans in the whole photo!?!?!!!?!?!?!?!?! If we were limited to two slots I would've preferred to see WEB du Bois or Dr. King or even Michael Jackson

......Just something I noticed. Great painting overall.
*and Michael Jordan deserves to be there, he is phenomenal.

You do have a point. I can't say that when I was looking at this I was looking at it in a "racial" sort of way, or of color. I can actually think of quite a few people of color that could of added More "Color" to the painting, but then again, I didn't paint it.

Would be kind of cool to see it updated or enhanced indeed.

I can't find Bruce Willis either..

There are three black people. Look for Kofi Annan.

I don't think there is any problem with Ghandi and Hitler both being in the painting. The idea is to showcase a handful of people from history who had a huge part in shaping the world - Ghandi and Hitler both fit the profile. A bigger contradiction would be Ariel Sharon and Adolf Hitler.. Yet they are both there.

Also there are lots of Chinese people..Which makes perfect sense considering the artists.

Liu Bei is there. Awesome.

I don't think Bruce Willis is in there.
But I did find Steven Spielberg.
Almost unrecognisable though.
