news.yahoo.com...;

I just had to share this. Im sorry if it offends, but it is kind of funny in a way....I just hear all the people that are going to have a heart attack over this and yell discrimination

A central Texas gun dealer ran radio ads advising "Socialist" liberals, those who voted for President Barack Obama, Arabs and Muslims that they need not apply for his concealed gun license class. Crockett Keller, who owns Keller's Riverside Store, ran the ads on the radio station in his rural hometown of Mason, Texas, which is 120 miles west of the state capital of Austin. "

If you are a Socialist liberal and/or voted for the current campaigner in chief, please do not take this class," Keller said in the ad. "You have already proven that you cannot make a knowledgeable and prudent decision as required under the law." "Also, if you are a non-Christian Arab, or Muslim, I will not teach you the class," Keller said in the radio ad. Keller said he is simply exercising his freedom to teach concealed handgun license classes to whomever he wants. He said he has received "hundreds" of calls from Americans who support his stance. "I should have had the class next week instead of this week, I could have had 500 people in it," Keller said on Friday.

He said he was not joking when he put the lines about socialists in his commercial, because he knows some socialist liberals and did not want them to enroll in the class. "I didn't want them to show up and have to tell them no," he said. The Texas Department of Public Safety, which oversees the concealed carry program, and licenses instructors, said in a statement that "certified instructors are required to comply with all applicable state and federal statutes, and conduct by an instructor that denied service to individuals on the basis of race, ethnicity, or religion would place that instructor's certification at risk."

The department said it had begun an investigation into the matter, and would "take appropriate administrative action based on the findings of from the investigation." Adults in Texas are allowed to carry concealed weapons if they have completed a class such as the one Keller teaches. Keller wrapped up his radio by saying: "With no shame, I'm Crockett Keller. Thank you, and may God bless." (Editing by Greg McCune)

Edit note - after reading this, I have to say that it is a publicity stunt haha, and he's probably going to get a lot of business.

current campaigner in chief,

I love that phrase.
That sums up the entire US presidency

I don't agree with his view necessarily but I do support his right to offer his services to whomever he wishes. It is his right to be a bigot.

Sure fire way to get attention and publicity.

I could put out a sign saying "vomit $5 a bucket, Jews need not apply"

And I bet by the end of the day I'd be all out of vomit just because people are reactionary and stupid.

Well, I suppose if he's instructing private classes, then he can stipulate who he will and won't teach if he wants to.

Although, this appears to be much more a publicity stunt, but - considering it's in the US south - then he may actually be being entirely serious.

You know exactly what ''types'' will be inundating him with inquires, based on the rhetoric in his advert.

See i have and issue with his stand point for one main reason,

when i was starting my business i went to a few work shops (because i new nothing of starting businesses back then) there was a muslim woman there wanting to start a driving school for muslim women only (the fact that shes muslim isnt the key point here) i thought that its out of order for her to start a X religone Y sex only class for anything because the sad state of affairs is straight white christian males (althoguh controlling the world is really the same thing) arnt allowed to set up a class teach only straight white christian males.

i fix peoples computers if they are protestant, catholic, muslim, Nazi, Commi, heroin addicts (all of those variables have came up) i dont agree with pretty much all the views of those people but i dont feel it is in my right to not serve them because i have an issue with there beleif system..

i put this too you... if the same man who had the advert wanted to buy petrol (gas) and the station was owned by a muslim would he accept this an walk away without a complaint as it was the muslims right to refuse him service for being a white im guessing chrisitian?

Its kind of funny, but no one has to tell him who they voted for, or their religious background.

Obviously he has a measure of intelligence, he's making no "stand," this is pure publicity.

Roughly a month or two ago I went gun shopping with an Iranian friend.
The looks we got were pretty hilarious.

There's a lot of mistrust for the Muslim community in the US. Understandably so. However so much of it is misplaced. While there are domestic extremists here, there are far less than people think. And in the end, it only take ONE nut job to spoil the party for everyone. And it doesn't even have to be a Muslim.

But hey, I live in Nevada. As long as you love Nevada and don't want to turn it into California, you're welcome.
