As an orphan, I'd love to hear what you have to say about "what's best for the children". Go ahead.

I'll be sure to point out right away that most of the time people claiming to "protect the children!" are the ones just creating more problems for them.

Way to deflect the argument when it pointed it's finger at you for being unreasonable/ignorant, by the way, bravo.

So, because a gay/lesbian/transgendered/furry/fluffy/polygamist can't be called a dad, no one can.

How does this affect your life: It just shows how much mind-control is actually required to make them seem normal.

But you're right. This will decrease prejudice. And everyone will secretly begin to admire them, and want to hire them and think happy thoughts about them, when they aren't even in the room. Absolutely no one will be offended by this little attempt to reshape society to look more like the lavender fringe.

Way to go.

I couldn't even force myself to care about something so non-affecting to me but pointlessly challenging to others.

Yet you care enough to make over 10 posts on the same topic?

You also care enough to not debate but launch attacks on other posters (calling people who disagree with you fools, calling them a partisan retard, saying they have little intellectual dignity disagreeing with you, stating that anyone who disagrees with you should be embarrassed).

Me thinks you have an axe to grind, even if you want to pretend you don't.

Are you gay?

I personally have no problem with gays and gay adoption as long as it is better for the child than remaining in a foster home.

Interestingly, that is the one thing that the pro-gay adoption advocates have not proved.

So far, the pro-gay adoption posts have been all gay rights, not about the children.

I'm an orphan as well.

What are you on about?

Do you you think you being an orphan makes you special?

Get over yourself.

And this is why it would be in any intelligent persn's best interest not to engage in conversation with you at all. You ignore all questions and cry about stupid sh* like it's your job.

Oh, P--L--E--A--S--E! Do you really go around calling your parents what a form calls them? On my SIN form the box I had to put their names in was "Parent/Guardian", not "Mother/Father". Guess what -- this may shock you -- I don't need to write things on a legal document to know that even my adopted parents are called "Mom" and "Dad", it's not "destroying family structures", get over your retarded tripe -- it has absolutely no base in reality. Legal forms don't dictate social standards or semantics.

How does this affect your life: It just shows how much mind-control is actually required to make them seem normal.

More realistically, how much mind absence/control is required to act like something that has existed in every corner of nature for hundreds of thousands of years is "not normal".

My mother and father were called mom and dad before the were killed, so I would appreciate it if you kept your pro gay motivated propaganda to yourself.

My mother wasn't 'parent 1' and my father wasn't 'parent 2'.

They were my mom and dad.

Then that should prove once and for all that if homosexuals are driven to have sex with each other ,there must be all kinds of tastes, smells about each other that are bonding them and to them, mean something, thus making their behavior based on something natural.

No idea. There is no research into it.

Actually there is research into it.

Brain response to putative pheromones in homosexual men

Brain response to putative pheromones in lesbian women

There was found to be a measurable difference in response between the way homosexual men and lesbian women's brains react to the pheromones of the same sex vs the opposite sex, and the way heterosexual men and women's brains react to the pheromones of the same sex vs the opposite sex.

But...a study like that doesn't mean much. Depressed people's brains react and look different than happier people's brains. For almost every personality or repeated behavior, the brain looks different. In fact, people who don't suffer clinical depression, but say, grieve a loved one's death for a few weeks, have brains that look like clinical depression for that period. Chicken or egg?

And your biased views shows. So what if children of Gay couples are allowed to have their parents names on their passports, what harm does it do to you? Answer None.

Homosexuality is just wrong. Brainwashing children into thinking that this perverted way of living is acceptable is even worse. No ifs, no buts.

My birth mother (who is a lesbian) and I hadn't met each other until two years ago. That was when I admitted that I was a gay transexual, and that was when my mother told me that she was getting married to her girlfriend of seven years.

I lived in an outwardly and overly religious family for my entire life, was abused, beatened and throttled by my adoptive mother because she was trying to choke the devil out of me.

If anything is 'WRONG' it is religion, and not just Christianity, ALL of it needs to go, THAT is the poison of this world, not Homosexuality, Bisexuality, or Transexuality.

And in a sense, what exactly MAKES it wrong, the fact that we don't reproduce? What's WRONG with not reproducing? What's WRONG with using our body the way we want to?

If anyone's perverted and wrong, it's you for dwelling on our sex lives, thank you.

Now for my view on the issue at hand.

In all honesty, I don't see anything wrong at all with calling a glbt family mom/mom or dad/dad. None whatsoever. In fact, I'm rather proud to say I have two mothers. They aren't Parent 1 Or Parent 2, they're my mothers.

The world is striving too hard to be politically correct, and it's strangling the life out of people.

Nope not a joke, about high time, kids with a two mothers or two fathers get the same rights as every other Couple in the UK to have both their parents on their Passports. Takes away the discrimination against gay couples. You do not have to agree with it. It is happening wither people agree with it or not. And it is not Political Correctness as you put it.

Discrimination...get used to the fact that no matter what laws you get for this or any other mumbo-jumbo heartfelt political correctness junk...nothing changes...you can't change the law of common sense...

Because you were beaten by your stepmom means all religion and Christianity is wrong...wow that's a step!

Your not the norm...most people are straight, deal with it...you want acceptance, we think your a freak. I don't know what it means to feel in those ways and I'm glad I don't have to live my life justifying something you know is a little wacked...must be a challenging life...I'm gonna go watch some football and forget about it...capeese!

My faith?

I'm an athiest.

Then why on earth wouldn't you want them to get the very same rights you have???

Also, the "parent 1/2" is only ADDED on government forms, no one's forcing you to not think of your mom and dad as "mom" and "dad"...for crying out loud this is so silly

Don't listen to others in here. You be whom ever you want to be. I do not know you, but to me you are as special as any other human being in this world. Don't you ever forget that okay. You are not a freak, as some have posted in here. Which I find disgusting to say the least.

And I'll second that.

Some of the backward views expressed on this thread are, quite frankly, disgraceful.

Deny Ignorance? What a xxxxing joke!
