Man Fined For Killing Grizzly Bear To Protect His Family

I don't oppose this at all, I would be scared as hell and would probably urinate myself before having a chance to even grab a rifle, but I have a question: Did he fire a warning shot to try and scare them away first?

I know people that live in bear country. many have shotguns with firecracker round. and a high powered rifle.
Most also have dogs to warn them a long time before the bear gets close.

99.9% of the time a bear will run when the firecracker rounds start going off around them.

The only time a bear had to be shot was one that had a very infected jaw from porcupine quills(may have affected the bears brain) and had been unable to hunt its regular game.

The guy deserved to get fined because he was a moron for not having and using the proper methods for scaring off bears before he shot it.

There's no tale to it. Just how crazy people act when there doing their job and following some law. A mans family or some big a bear. I would blast it in a heartbeat and not even feel sad about it. Now killing it for fun would be another story altogether. It's about the way I feel about people being charged with murder for killing a k9 dog. It's a fn dog give me a break. Don't get me wrong I love my dog probally more than few humans, but it's just a dog. I'm really sick of the hole police state and would like to return to a time where the constitution is upheld. A bear is not more important than a human life period!

Sounds like you are just arguing for the fun of it.

If a Grizz wants in your house, it will come through your windows or door.

You'll be alive when it starts to eat you.

Pfff, I would have just burried it in the backyard.

This is what he gets for trying to report it and being an honest citizen.

I think I would have scratched myself with the claws before I went in at least.

Odds are the shooter is lying. He killed the bear for who knows what reason and then invented this fairly tale.
