Then I apologize. I will take it in the intent that it was made.

Dude or Dudette. You are not bringing a substansive argument to this. Just talking points.

You are actually arguing against helping your fellow person. Do you not get it?

Things are broke, are you going to let others make your mind up for you? Or are you willin to help your fellow?

When the taxpayers pay for something, they SHOULD GET IT, NO QUESTIONS, period.

When I pay for something, I EXPECT it. PERIOD.

HOW is it possible that you do not agree with the fact that PEOPLE who PAY into something SHOULD get what they paid for?

Let's call Obama's bluff, how about the Republicans? Let's call Boehners bluff too shall we? It appears that both parties in DC has a bluff to be called out on. None of them appear to have true solutions in this country, only politicial score points.

We have broken social systems in this country, reforms are needed, Democrats won't budge.

We have a bloated military budget, nearly 10 times that of Russia (with roughly the same number of soldiers), Republicans won't budge.
.

The big problem is the Republicans know what is coming.

None if this budget that they are trying covers Obama(does not come into effect till 2014) care or carbon tax.
ECT ECT.
And as soon as this budget is passed those and many other new bills are in line.

Yet the democrats want to throw massive new taxes on small business on top of what they are already paying
The democrats claim these are just taxes on big business like oil companies GE or other BIG companies.
but when you read the tax codes they want to change small business is the ones that will really be hit.

And then you throw in Obama care and carbon tax and what ever else the democrats can dream up and if you think things are bad now they will get much worse because all these small businesses will have to pass down major price increases to the public just to stay in business.(many are just bearly hanging in there now)

The republician know that busineses never pay the taxes but just pass them on. can you afford $8.00 gas when the oil companies pass the taxes on.
Its never going to hurt the oil companies no mater what the democrats think they can do to stop it and that is not much.

How do i know this its because its bin done in Calif and its killing us.

So saying that a TAXPAYER not getting what they paid for is WRONG, is not a "substantive argument"?

Thats some serious Beck/Rush syndrome reasoning there 'dude' or 'dudette'

On principle..I agree. But the revenue is just not there anymore.

There are to many on the dole who suck up the taxes of the productive.

When only 50% pay taxes, the system will break. It is inevitable.

Hence, we need to help our fellows.

Your post is a perfect example of why we should be helping each other rather than relying on the government.

Any governmet. GOP or lib, it doesn't matter because in the end, we only have ourselves to rely on.

this is boring me

far too many people have a false expectation of what social security is and one day you will be in for a rude awakening.

too many people think that that ss check is going to be enough to live on and it isnt.

social security is around because people are forced to pay for something that doesnt live up to its intended meaning.

what you should be expecting is once you reach retirement age that hey you are still going to have to keep working to make ends meet.

my mother and father are both retired fathers disabled and my mother continues to work and shes near 80

and no i dont expect nothing the return for the taxes collected by our government is not worth paying them.

No matter how delicately it may be put, we make ourselves as God's advocate when we both help ourselves as well as ALLOW others to help themselves.

If all one can do is provide the world's best potato pancakes... there will be a valuation assigned to it by the current banking directorate, which valuation would compound as each potato pancake is produced...

Produce a more efficient method of transportation, get royalty valuation for the idea as others produce it.

PRODUCTION... the New Age Equity.

I know plenty of people who are getting by with just SS benefits as it is INTENDED to be for!!!!!!!

IN FACT, there are probably about 50 MILLION or so do everyday.

These people are retired and havent worked ever since. I dont know about you, but I think that our elders should NOT HAVE TO WORK ANYMORE. They HAVE WORKED ENOUGH AND DESERVE A REST before they pass away.

Some folks just dont respect their elders I guess.

There is no delicate way of putting the notion that someone, somewhere, is ALLOWING people to help themselves. No one, human that is, has any right what-so-ever to conclude that they can ALLOW or DISALLOW any other persons right to earn a living.

PRODUCTION... the New Age Equity.

Production has always been equity in every age. When humans were just hunters and gatherers, those who hunted the most and gathered the most obtained the greatest wealth. Their prey and other food sources gained from gathering was evidence of their production.

try over 65 million americans with the baby boomers expected to be retiring soon.

and once they do the government loses tax revenue to be paying them.

heres a break down by the numbers

75 million americans pay no tax
65 million americans getting ss
45 million americans on welfare
25 milliion americans unemployed drawing their 99 weeks of free pay

so good luck expecting to get ss your going to need it.

That's because old people come with funky smells, and tend to exaggerate the importance of their opinions. Plenty of time to rest when they're dead. Put those smelly hyperbolic old people to work dammnit!

Can anyone give me a accurate accounting number of the stimulus money spent and to where it went?
I think that would be an intriguing investigation.

pretty calvalier attitude considering your not putting your life on the line every single time the defense budget gets cut is putting americans lives at risk.

Please don't tell me your arguement is that this $680 billion budget, 10 times that of Russia's is all based on the solely on paying the soldiers. Really?

I have often made the remark to my fellow Soldiers that we are fighting a war at Wal-Mart prices, but you are the first that I have seen to say so other than me.

The thing is, we are not fighting a nation, but a ideology…maybe. I’m starting to question that with the way things are going.

But no one questions it in Congress. Without that, it will only get worse. All parties are using GWOT to further enrich themselves.

It would have been a different story if rationing had been imposed. Now that would have been fun to watch.
