This is an oldie but definitly a goody....oh and ANYTHING by ZZ Top or ....if you want Sothern Rock , try Molly Hatchett, Outlaws, April Wine, Georgia Satelites, Black Crows (My fav Black Crow's songs are "She talks to Angels" and "Hard to Handle")....I just assumed you were looking for older music since you said freebird.

These two are more of 'feel good' songs, not sure if you want to play them with the windows open.

Ok, this first is a must for any guitar fan, Stranglehold by Ted Nugent. Give it a listen.

Next is a live gem by the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan. It is a little slow to start but if you love guitar, I don't know that it ever gets better than this. Watch the whole thing and you will be amazed.

Itop1 when you say want similar, do you mean long ballad type tunes, or Southern rock shiat kicker songs? Do you like slide guitar? Blues guitar? i think i can help if i have a little more info

Well ill listen to most songs that has a really fast guitar or good guitar work but as an example some of my most fav songs are:

Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven
Free Bird Lynyrd Skynyrd
the kinks you really got me
The Rolling Stones Sympathy For The Devil
Iron Maiden - The Number Of The Beast

Ear orgasm (this isnt a song but the effects of listening to this music)

Thanks for the reply. 1,2 & 4 are kind of 'anthems' and its hard to find other songs like them. Still, based on what you've mentioned, here are some songs & bands you may enjoy. I wish more people would expand their music exposure to what came before, it's good to delve back into the roots, right on back to where things start and how musicians influenced each other over the years.

Gimme Some Lovin - the Spencer Davis Group
Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult
Aerosmith - Toys in the Attic (album)
Motorhead - ...they have lots of albums, on the metal side
Frank Zappa - Black Napkins
Ram Jam - Black Betty
Tobacco Road (song title) - I favor covers done by both Johnny and Edgar Winters
J. Geils Band - early albums: Monkey Island, Bloodshot, Full House
Accept - Restless and Wild (album)

hope you find something you like
