town in terror of violent elf

www.thesun.co.uk

A VIOLENT elf is terrorising a town by stalking locals and beating them up, it emerged yesterday.

The creature is said to have big ears and always wears a pointy hat.

It is believed to be behind up to a dozen brutal attacks on kids and old men.

The gnome has even KNOCKED people off their bikes and rained PUNCHES on them.

Doesn't it stand to reason that the dude(s) perpetrating this is/are dressing as an elf and may in fact be a "dwarf" dressed like an elf?

And that is why he is being called an elf.

No offense but little people have an axe to grind, don't they?

The sun is what the movie "Men in Black" calls one of the "hot sheets":

www.imdb.com...

Kay: We're gonna check the hot sheets.
[Kay pulls up to a newsstand and buys a pile of supermarket tabloids]
Jay: THESE are the hot sheets?
Kay: Best investigative reporting on the planet. But go ahead, read the New York Times if you want. They get lucky sometimes.

It's not the only one, there are a few others.

here is where I stopped reading: your source is The Sun?
Right on, way to go.

Hmmm, must be a slow "news" day if the Sun is digging up this old chestnut.

There's a big list of threads covering this, and many (including at least one sourcing the Sun) are from back in '08.

Same videos, I guess the Sun figured they'd re-brand the "gnome" an "elf", and give it another go.

This story is so confusing!!!

The headline speaks of an elf yet in their article they depict a gnome. Which is it?

The description given is "big ears", "pointy hat" and brutal attacks on old people and children. That would pretty much cancel out any elf that I know of since they only have a habit of teasing the unicorns and pulling the occasional pranks on other woodland creatures. They tend to avoid people.

Gnomes on the other hand, if robbed from their fishing rod, wheelbarrow or mushroom, can get pretty aggressive.

Somebody should write The Sun and have them rectify that article since it is harming the entire elf community. Sloppy and shameful journalism!!

Peace

Dressed up like a GNOME you mean.

Elves have magical power, surely there would be no need for a physical confrontation if one should have an issue with humans. Gnomes lack any magical power.... see there's you proof right there.

Stop smearing the elf community, this clearly is a gnome!!

Peace

Doesn't seem fair to blame the elves for something gnomes are doing. It's kinda like saying Smurfs and pixies are the same. (Which anybody knows is considered a great insult in Smurf society and is usually punished by mandatory eating of 5-day-old smurfberry-pie )

Peace

According to the Dutch media it was either a leprechaun or a troll...

But anyway, I know now where my mother in law is on holiday.

This is typical of faerie/jinn type behaviour - they are attached to a particular spot and have been for maybe many many thousands of yrs - humans are an annoying polluting disturbance to them and sometimes they really really resent people intruding on them.
