These Are My Top 3 Preparations for 2012

In this Thread i will Outline what i see to be Important in preparing for 2012.

In all situations we enter, we carry several different things with us that we might need to survive. So Heres a Shortlist of Supplies.

Water

Food

A Knife

Fire Starting Kit

Geiger Counter

[2]Green-Technology

As we make our way through what ever May wait ahead for us, we would need a way to power useful devices that we may find. So here is a list of green Technology we could Utilize.

Solar Panel with Battery.

Water purification System

Air Purification System-- I Suggest a Gas Mask

[3]History

Now if the World was Devastated in 2012 and i had Survived i would Like to think that i had saved more than Just myself, Thats why i think the history of the planet and of humans should be preserved.

Books about the History of Inventions.(with detailed plans on how to build them)

Books about the power of the Human Spirit.(To give hope and inspire the survivors)

Books about the History of War and Politics.( So we may avoid the Problems of the Past)

A book that would teach us the values of life. (The Bible)

Would you Build a Bunker for 2012 ( at the risk of looking like a fool)

If thier was one place on earth that you could save, were would it be? and why?

What do you think will Happen after 2012, in the event of mass Devastation. Would we Rebuild? And if so how would you do it Differently?

haha quite true.....But wouldnt it be better to just sit upstairs when doomsday comes.

I really Doubt 1 wooden Floor would make a Differance my friend.

True it would take some conversion to be safe but in the UK, Leeds to be exact I feel the only real threat would be either Nuclear or Floods.
We are in a pretty high place so a bunker makes sense

I thought Saving Our History was Very Important but thats just me

And for the Bunker i would probably find an old mine and make it safe inside so it doesnt collapse. Make it all nice and cozy Wouldnt be the best place to live but its within our price range.

Oh and your in the Uk aswell so can you answer me this, If you know it.

Whats the Best plave in the United Kingdom to be if thier was going to be a Massive Wave Heading our way..I really dont know if were high enough to be safe.

I always thought the Mountains in Wales look Pretty Safe

Nice top 3. But personally, there is one prep more important than all of that to me, and that is the "I" factor. Us humans are a combo of mind, body, and spirit.

Get your spirituality together. Do what you need to clear your conscious and purify your heart. It will help you through the most terrible of hardships, and help you to make better instinctive choices.

Get your body together. Workout, exercise, eat healthy, and make healthy lifestyle choices.

Get your mind together. Learn all you can about all you can. Imagine wonderful possibilities and worst case scenarios. Mentally prepare for the best in all and the worst in all.

After these, then your top 3 fits in nicely.

Well I agree 100% with you....Currently My Mind is Ready to Go and has been for quite some time, And my Body is Getting prepped for 2012, I am about 70% of the way to being ready in that respect.

Chance of Survival as a 40st man.....Unlike His Body the Chances are Very Slim

I dont think its much of a 2012 thing, its good to be prepared and for me, 2012 just highlighted this.

Thanks, I'll be waiting....But in the mean-time i will look up some other ideas or places good for surviving 2012 in the United Kingdom.

I just did some research and the highest point in the whole of the United Kingdom is Ben Nevis which is about 4000ft Dont think that could be enough to be safe from a mega wave, Maybe it is not Sure.

I will not do a thing.

I have heard that if 2012 is a truly apocalyptic event, the survivors will envy those who initially died.

No government to depend on ,no basic services to depend on.

Starvation and high winds and flooding will get most and rampaging hordes of criminals will kill the rest.

This world with out any order will be a mess.

Almost like it is now with the Socialists in power across the globe.

You need to add beer money to the list when nothing happens.

I would suggest a lot of beer money for a kegger.

I find Survival Weekends Quite entertaining. I know it may sound wrong but i may enjoy the whole 2012 survival Scenario.

Good Idea but People would be so relieved that it never Happend that they would Hand out free Beer.

That sounds like fun. Maybe we can convince 2012 believers to wear some sort of "2012 gang colors" so that we can stake out the places most likely to dole out free beer.

No.. a bunker can protect you from bombs.. but if there is a sort of castrophe I would expect massive earthquakes and flooding either of which a bunker is a death trap.

I believe we would rebuild.. but i hope it would be in a way with much more respect for our earth mother. And without going into to much detail make it impossible for a select few to control everything. Everyone should really have a vote.
