I find it absolutely fascinating that not one person that claims Trump is a good businessman will

a. Say just how rich Trump actually is.

nor

b. Acknowledge the great deal of defaulting on debt that helped get him so rich.

I am curious if there is a real reason for that.

Yes because no one really knows how rich he is. We know how rich he says he is, which apparently he has 7 billion dollars in the bank.

And Trump has never defaulted on his own debt. He has never declared bankruptcy. He actually sewed someone I can't remember who for saying he had gone bankrupt.

Tell me you believe that and give me a compelling reason to believe it. I saw some of his "friends" laughing at his claim that he had an easy 300 mil to toss around so I am curious. I understand what he does for a living and see no reason he would have 7 billion dollars but I do not know. I am looking for something aside from guesses and Iheards.

Cant remember who huh? Remeber if he won? When this happened? Anything at all? Why say something if you cannot even offer enough detail to check it out myself? Are you asking me to take your word for anything and everything?

Can you please explain the concept of filing chapter 12 to default on debt not yours?

Here is what I am finding.

In 1991, unable to pay a $3.5 billion loan, he declared business bankruptcy. He also came close to filing personal ruin. At the time, his personal debt was estimated to be around $900 million.

Donald Trump gave the investors half the ownership of the Taj Mahal.

Not even a year later, Trump Plaza Hotel folded and Donald had to declare bankruptcy. Again, he worked out a deal where he’d give up 49 percent of the hotel to Citibank

In 2004, Donald filed for bankruptcy protection and restructured his debt. He reduced his ownership of Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts to 27 percent and gave bondholders stocks to help lower his debt and then stepped down as CEO

On February 17th 2009, Donald Trump filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy with a debt ratio of $50 million in assets to his $500 million in debt. This filing made the third bankruptcy for Trump Enterprises.
source

Hard to make $7 billion from buildings you do not even own, don't ya think. Anyway, that is what I found so far. Your turn.

That was the first article that popped up on a google search.

And I said apparently he said he has 7 billion dollars in the bank. As in according to him.He said this the other night on tv. I meant that to imply that I have no idea how much money he has. No one does.

Thanks.

Okay I am sure most of the people who watch the apprentice will not vote for trump.

What makes you think that?
Ronald Reagan had a fan base too, look where it got him....

Huckabee, Romney, Palin are worthless politicians, they don't have a chance against Obama, they all suck. Trump would be the only one to put up a fight, and that's just by his notoriety alone.

I highly suggest you read both my article and your article with a great level of scrutiny. They both have the same facts, there is just one huge difference in yours as far as framing. It tries to say that he won out because in those bankruptcies he came out without having to give up any of his personal money and saying how the properties were turned around. If you look really close, it also kind of also points out, like my article, that he had to give up ownership of those properties. What it fails to highlight is that those properties were counted in Trump's personal wealth as well as generating further personal wealth. When he gave those up, he lost what they were worth and his ability to further profit from them at those levels. He did not come out on top. He said here, use my name because you know it will draw people and let me out my debt, all you have to do is take my building and the money I should have made with it had I not driven it into the ground with my business acumen.

Get that?

Sleep on it.

And I said apparently he said he has 7 billion dollars in the bank. As in according to him.He said this the other night on tv. I meant that to imply that I have no idea how much money he has. No one does.

And I never asked how much money has Trump claimed he has. This thread has no shortage of posters claiming he has a great deal of wealth. I am simply asking for the sources they are relying on. Because if the only source for that is Trump, let me remind you that while he claims every year of the Apprentice is the highest rated ever, it was almost cancelled twice for poor ratings. Trump says lots of things. I could care less what he says. I do not believe he has 7 Billion dollars. I am more inclined to believe properties with his name are worht 7 Billion dollars he will never see. Any time anyone claiming he is rich and popular gets a source, give me a buzz.

What would make you think otherwise? Reagan was the governor of California before he was president was he not? Anyway, I would like to know why you think a popular TV show means people would vote the man into office? Did I miss the President Seinfeld Years? Maybe I slept through the President Joey, Chandler, Ross, Phoebe, Rachel, and Monica years? How do you suppose that them Kardishians would do running for office? They have like 4 different shows on TV. Teen mom is really hitting the ratings mark, do you suppose people are hoping to vote for president that knocked up kid from MTV?

Again, I watch The Apprentice and I do not even like Trump a little. I also watch Jersey Shore because the zoo is too far away, not because I want president Snooki. I would not mind seeing something to the contrary though.

So what if Reagan was governor, Trump could easily become governor if he wanted it. Why not go for the gusto, Obama can't run this country or even a lemonade stand!!!! Huckabee, Romney, Palin are just posers, wannabe puppet politicians.

None of the stars you mentioned have business smarts like Trump... You should throw in Charlie Sheen too... What separates Trump from them is that he can balance a checkbook. Anyone who watches Jersey Shore probably can't count to ten or tie their shoes. That says a lot about you!!!

I'm pretty sure that most the GOP candidates fro the 2012 election will, like Trump, Palin, Bachman, Huckabee, etc, merely be using the attention as publicity for their various media endeavors.

They will sell a lot of books, while making sure that the GOP has little chance of actually beating Obama. Since the GOP, as in 08, likely has little interest in winning.

Because like people have said on this thread that just because they watch a show does not mean they like him.

No, mainly your saying that.. however not many liked Obama neither, but they voted for him because he is democrat.

It's not all about the show, it's Trump's notoriety that blows his constituents out of the water. Huckabee, Romney, Palin and the rest have no personality, no fire in their eye's, they are all cloned puppets.

Obama will win again, unless some unknown character with the same flare pops up, until then Trump is the only one who has a chance, that's if he runs...

What did I misunderstand you did you say that not alot of people like Obama before he became president? It is the opposite lot's of people liked Obama thats one of the main reasons he got elected. Because of his likability. That was the main questions with Obama was that most of America disagreed with his policies but they still liked him.

Okay what do you mean? there were all type s of voters then, YOu can name any candidate out there in the last 2008 election. Someone mentioned fan bases. Britney spears Beiber these are people with fan bases that will go to bat and actually go out and support the person. And yeah I think you can put Obama up there that he has a fan base. I don;t know if you want the twitter followers he has as evidence. Ron paul has a fan base. I think campaign for liberty was started by him. Some say he started the tea party.

Can you point to something substantial thats says trump has a large fan base?

i would, as VP candidate.

i would really go for a palin/ trump ticket.

palin coz she has the political savy and is way tougher than trump in that arena.

trump coz he can squeeze em' all, being in the bizness side.

he is right! we should charge for what we do.

sarah won't take any political crap from these other countries, i bet she can scare them to death and the don can put the screws to em without military intervention.

they would probably start drilling baby! get us off foreign oil imports, drive a lot of countries and people nuts but the usa will come out smelling sweeter.

maybe even open the alternative energy path that has been hidden.

make the us a leader in that area. get the jobs back to the us.

as long as they can get along and respect each other, i like it.

but it is my own dream.

Could he? You sure about that? Not in NY he couldn't. How do you suppose his suddenly right wing views would float in CA?

The point being thereis a stark difference between the two. Reagan did not walk into the White House from the set of "Bedtime for Bonzo" because his hollywood fan base loved his acting. He walked into the White house after holding elected office overseeing a gigantic state.

Movie Star - Governor of CA - President.
Failed real estage mogul - referee to Richard Hatch and David Cassidy/babysitter to Gary Busey and Meatloaf - President.

Which one of these things is not like the other?

Why not go for the gusto, Obama can't run this country or even a lemonade stand!!!! Huckabee, Romney, Palin are just posers, wannabe puppet politicians.

K. You do not like Obama. Compelling reason to vote for trump.

None of the stars you mentioned have business smarts like Trump... You should throw in Charlie Sheen too... What separates Trump from them is that he can balance a checkbook. Anyone who watches Jersey Shore probably can't count to ten or tie their shoes. That says a lot about you!!!

Actually I would dare say most of them are smarter as most of them are rich for no reason and Trump has had to work very hard and fail repeatedly in order to get there. I am pretty sure I would rather take the former route over the latter to my riches, thanks. If you think that failing over and over again only to reach a modicum of success is better than getting rich easily and quickly for doing very little then we have very different ideas of success.

Yes, Jersey Shore is absolute trash TV. I also enjoy Christ Elliot and Norm McDonald. I never saw the Godfather and I never will. I guess you can point out the many stupid things I say and call me a moron or you can fail to undestand my rather astute replies and call me a moron based on the shows I watch. I know it's trash. I watch tv for empty fun, I read lots of books for that lernin thangy.

Please tell me, do you believe Trump is sitting on 7 Billion dollars? Tell me why he even does his tv show? Because it is fun for him? Then why has he retooled it 5 times in order to get the ratings back up? Why is he so worried about you watching him enjoy his relatively low paying hobby when he has all them billions sitting around? I am genuinely curious.

HECK YEAH! Check my sig. I am totally with you on that one. She was mayor of a tiny town then quit her job as governor of a sparsely populated state. He keeps driving his buildings into the ground and having to turn over ownership to get out of debt.

Palin/Trump 2012 all the way. I will pay to watch that circus!
