A caller has phoned into NYC 911 and has threatened to blow up the bridge. It is going to be closed, and teams are on their way to respond to this. If you know anyone in NY tell them to avoid the bridge. this is not good at all. why the # do people have to be terrorists.
They won't let me submit it without more information so im going to but dashes. THIS STORY NEEDS TO GET OUT

I swear, this world is falling apart this month haha. But in all seriousness, this is not good. It's probably a random threat that won't occur (let's hope), but it's better to be safe then sorry right?

IMO a terrorist would call it in AFTER to claim responsibility..
Not before so they can clear the bridge..
Sounds like a prank..

Is there any other source aside from Twitter available?
Not the best of sources.

If it is legit, this could be a serious problem and could potentially throw a match into the whole powder keg this month has been turning into.

They would be able to track the call. If its a threat then the caller would suffer massive consenquences.
Don't want to throw any stupid conspiracy theories out there, but maybe its a diversion?

Hopefully its just the elite trying to keep us in fear rather than a real nutter who will actually do it .
But I think BIB is right .

Track it to a public phone box more likely..
But a diversion is always possible..

The latest tweet being "I'm in bed" does not really suggest that the twitter feed is credible as a source on New York City's emergency phone... thingy.

Then we're looking at different twitter feeds. I'm looking at the one linked in the OP. By you. Could you possibly point us to the right twitter page?

I posted a picture. So either stop lying, or give the link correctly. I see nothing about the brooklyn bridge.

Just FYI, bomb threats to NYC landmarks are VERY frequent.

It's an unfortunate part of living in a large city, and typically they amount to nothing more than a traffic annoyance to those of us living in Manhattan.

Obviously emergency responders have to be careful because no one wants to be the guy who ordered everyone to ignore the threat that turned out to be real... but really, this is very common.

It very clearly is. No matter what I do on that page, I still see NYC911 telling someone named Knaeker that s/he's in bed. Am I doing Twitter wrong?

I refreshed it about a dozen times.

To top it all off, I sent my roommate the link and asked her what the first tweet was. A lot closer to what you're saying. Sorry I accused you of lying. I have no idea what's going on here.
