This just in.

Iraqi 11th and 51st divisions of the Peoples Army of Iraq have signaled their intentions to surrender. About 22,000 troops in total.

Live report on CBS Evening News, 23:39 EST.

Looking forward to continuing updates on this one...

But then again, since Iraqi troops surrendered so much while we were kicking them out of Kuwait, my expectations of their performance hasn't let me down this time either...I just *knew* they'd keep up this tradition when some of them tried to surrender to the British just *last week*, before the war even started.

Gee, you'd think with the way he treats his people & his soldiers that they'd have more *loyalty* than that...

...Especially when you consider the fact that they'd be treated better by us as POW's than they *are* being treated as his troops...
