Because those were not floods... according to them.

Australian insurers rule overflowing rivers are not floods, gov't may intervene (DPA)

Yeah they were not floods...
As a result, Queensland is set to be the first major region outside Thailand where the rain-making technology will be put into full effect.

They were MAN-MADE floods... big difference there!

Seriously, if the government doesn't side with the people on this one, people need to sue.

Of course they won't.

Insurance companies should be restricted by geography and employee size. They should be broken into regional and local entities. They should make tangible improvements in the areas they service and be seen by their customers as an interested party instead of adversary.

Look high enough in the hierarchy of the "insurance business" and one will probably find a few powerful individuals raking in big time profits with the tacit approval of the corrupt politicians they bought.

The whole "global community" idea is such a scam. I think these international corporations should be broken down into regional and local entities. Get some of that wealth and prosperity back into the community instead of sending it off to build the marble-and-gold toilettes of the elite. Yeah?

Same thing happened after Katrina. My dad never got a cent for his house cause it wasn't considered a flood. It was wind driven water. Lol

The Government should stand by the it's citizens, because if this was the result of cloud seeding - the Gov't. definitely had to have known about it, and approved of it. As far as insurance companies are concerned, they excel at taking your money, but damn stingy on paying the piper when the time comes. They should be extinguished for all they're worth.

They'd better pay.
Or else this government is finished, and insurers will be beaten to death outside their homes.

Wow, just wow. The selling out of the human race by the wealthier. Sickeningly profound. I only hope what's taken from them and everyone else in the world is given back tenfold one day.

Stop being a socialist!

Don't you know they got that money because they were smarter than their fellow man and provided a valuable service?

LMAO .... "over flowing rivers are not floods" .. what the hell is a flood then?

I hate insurance.. we would solve so much of the worlds problems by making every form of insurance illegal!!

How can they say this is not floods , so what made people there suffer and have to evacuate? It is really a ridiculous excuse for not paying the insured...

Basically the insurance companies are saying that because it did not rain on your house it is not a flood..
Much of the fllod damage to say Kerang was caused by heavy rains further south that flowed across the land and via rivers/streams into Kerang..
The day Kerang really flooded there were clear blue skies..

That's the insurance companies line and I hope the directors of said companies get theirs..!!!!

The Government will not make them pay, they can't,the people signed a legal contract to insure their houses, they did not read the fine print stating what their insurers define as flooding ,a lot of insurance company's define flooding as rain that has fallen on your roof and gets into the house from there from a leaking roof or overflowing gutters,i checked my contents policy and it does not cover the type of floods we have recently seen,Local councils are very much to blame for allowing people to build houses in flood prone area's,but hey more houses the more council rates are paid,I'm not saying any of this insurance crap is right but it is reality I'm afraid,

What are they going to do? Revolt? Remember, their zionist media stripped them of gun rights with one shooter presentation. The way the insurers handled this was a natural sequence of events.

No offence, but what did you expect? I knew immediately they wouldn't pay up.

Insurance companies are not your friend. They are deceitful, greedy and ethically bankrupt. Because they have happy jingles and smiling paid actors in their commercials, they succeed in tricking a lot of people.

Take the Ash Wednesday fires here years back. Sorry, "act of God". You're not covered for that.

My friend's brother lived at Stockport when the town was flooded a month ago. They're not paying up there either. Something about how they are covered for storms, but not the flooding that resulted from the storm.

I don't even have insurance for my car now. Peace of mind I call it. Knowing I will just take my losses and not get my hopes up being "insured".
