There's a small diocese that's troubled pope Benedict XVI's sleep over the past few weeks. A church that holds a secret that could ruin the Vatican. This time we're not dealing with the American or the Irish curiae involved in the paedophile priest scandals. Or with the Italian clergy involved in the legal investigations of the "clique" headed by Angelo Balducci and on the alleged Vatican Bank recycling discovered by Bankitalia. The basilica that distresses Joseph Ratzinger and his right-hand men, Tarcisio Bertone above all, is that of Maribor, a small city in northern Slovenia famous for hosting a World Cup slalom race.

The city now risks notoriety as well for one of the most devastating financial disasters in the history of the Church: the arcidiocese , beyond pasturing the souls of some 100,000 believers, in recent years has launched itself into investments that were rash to say the least. Call it the incompetence of the bishop (recently removed), call it the world economic crisis along with a few cases of bad luck; the fact is that the little church and the companies it controls were able to accumulate a mind-boggling 800 million euro debt.

I bet that this is bigger than we can even imagine.

I would wager than many sections of the "Church" world wide are involved in very questionable "investments".

The most eye opening part of this, is that many of these investments go strictly against the dogmatic rules set forth by the Church itself.

This fits in perfect with the History of the Vatican, and it fits perfectly with the actual pattern of actions that they are behind.

There are more secrets hidden in the Vatican than there are in the US military industrial complex, after all.
Look forward to seeing how they cover this up and make it disappear.

I'd imagine that 800 million Euros isn't going to hurt the Vatican that much. They have some deep pockets.

Thanks so much for this, OP- star & flag. I am afraid, too, that this scandal is nothing new, but could be a continuation of something very old- which has never been gotten to the bottom of, to this day- the Vatican banking scandal concerning Banco Ambrosiano of Italy & many other problematic troubles.

In the late 70's, there was a lot of skullduggery & several mysterious deaths surrounding the Vatican Bank- not the least of which was the death of Pope John Paul the First after only 30 days in office. The details can be Googled up & studied by all who care to read about it; they are too numerous to mention here. Suffice it to say that there were numerous unexamined and not-independently investigated "holes" concerning the Vatican Bank's balance sheets, which have most likely grown to enourmous proportions in 34 years. The losses told of in Eastern Europe may only be a continuation of this old story. It is a secret that can no longer be kept; someone has to come out into the open.

I leave you with the words of Pope Pius the Tenth, uttered in 1909 during a vision: "What I have seen was terrible... Will it be myself? Will it be my successor? What is certain is that the Pope will quit Rome, and in fleeing from the Vatican he will have to walk over the dead bodies of his priests. Do not tell anyone while I am alive". This prophetic vision has not yet come to pass.

he is also the reputedly second last pope according to prephecy....the next will preside over the demise of the church.

I tend to agree with you. As though the financial scandal isn't enough, you might check out an article from the 21st December 2010 Belfast Telegraph if you like, in which Pope Benedict is quoted as saying of the paedophilia scandal: "In the 70's, paedophilia was theorised as something fully in conformity with man and even with children. It was maintained- even within the realm of Catholic theology- that there is no such thing as evil in itself or good in itself. There is only a "better than" or a "worse than". Nothing is good or bad in itself". With beliefs like these, the man should have put himself out of business!

Two prophets come to mind over this- first, the 4th century monk St. Malachy, author of Liber Vaticanationem; he predicted every single Pope to come, and according to him, the present one is the next to last. He will be the cause of the Church's destruction, and he is seconded in this 1200 years later by the sixteenth century prophet Nostradamus.

Last but not least is the third Prophecy of Fatima as re-revealed to Father Gobbi by non other than the Blessed Virgin herself, in which she too warns of the fall of the Church accompanied by signs in the sky. For those who believe, a lot of ugly things seem to be gathering into a formidable head.

tipicle of the church to come up with some crap to cover up the truth...they r the biggest crooks in all of our history...whoever started this vatican and pope # must of been a telanted con artis. either that or the annunaki pulled a nice one over mankind....to get away with this for a couple thousand years....i bet the pope is sitting there thinken...# we kept it goen for a while...gotta let this out now...to many people know we are the masters of bs and our time is up...lmao ohh good luck to the pope when he meets and et... it is an amazing story I'm sure like someone said before, their pockets go deeper and they will get the money to sort this mess out. Knowing the catholic church they will do anything to stop this mess without much going out to the massive media. I hope they get what the deserve......the end of the church and all it's lies

Ever since Roberto Calvi was found hanged to death from a London bridge on June 17th, 1982, and a $1.3 billion dollar "hole" was discovered in Banco Ambrosiano in Italy a few days later, Scotland Yard has never been off the case. Roberto Calvi was the chairman of that bank and several others. These banks all had dealings with Michele Sindona, a financier who was a go-between for the Vatican Bank. The missing money in this case is small change compared to the present scandal- the loss of 1.3 TRILLION dollars.

Here is a summation by Nostradamus in Quatrain 5:32 of not only the present situation but of 2012:

This verse- before all of the trolls come calling- is part of a number of verses that tell of both the present dire financial circumstances and the Roman Church's ruin. I'd like to start a thread on it later once I have made enough posts to do so. The seventh rock is one of Nostradamus' euphemisms for the Church in Rome, which was built upon seven hills.

I hear what you're saying! "The Whore" has been thought by some to mean many things, from an entire country to all debased religions. The bottom line seems to be: that absolute power corrupts absolutely. This part of Revelation is also translated by some to be the dressed-up travesty of many religions as well as all of the wicked deeds done in God's name- which is blasphemy (the very thing that the Whore is full of & represents).

To be fair, Nostradamus didn't steal his prophecy from the Bible- he was of a Jewish family that converted to Christianity, and knew the Bible well; God began sending him visions that elabourated upon the Bible in order to prepare believers for the Millennium. God told him that the reason He wanted Nostradamus to see and write His Word was so that people in the future would see what was coming in time to stop it. Nostradamus would meditate far into the night while gazing upon a bronze bowl of water- God showed him the visions upon the water's surface.

Nostradamus prophesied, amongst other things, three World Wars, as well as the downfall of the Roman Catholic Church. He foresaw the Protestant Reformation, King Louis 14th, Napoleon, Hitler, & much else. His Quatrains are written in a mystifying blend of Old Provencal French, Latin, Greek, anagrams and astrological alignments. There are no good translations of his work available for commercial sale; many scholars who do good unpublished translations (myself included!) understand the importance of the old saying, "if you want something done right, do it yourself!"

Many people do not like to give Nostradamus his due, because so many of his prophecies have not yet come true. Because his Quatrains are difficult for modern-day people to decipher, he has a lot of skeptical critics out there who prefer to write him off. As one who has diligently studied his prophecies since I was a teenager, I can see what he was warning humanity of coming true every day, especially now.

In a nutshell, the Church as it is today will fall, according to this prophet, but be rebuilt by an incorruptible priest from an impoverished French family named Pere Pierre (Father Peter), who will be the last Pope. I know good people in the Church and in no way wish to insult or hurt anyone; only warn them of what this prophet has to say in modern day terms. I pray & hope that the right people will address all of the problems foretold of in time to stop them; may we all be on our best behaviour & work for the enlightenment of this world!

As for the mad Russian we were discussing, since he was Jewish, AND supposedly a Christian, wouldn't that validate my claim that he stole his "stuff" from the Bible? Seeing how most of the end times material he talked about was pretty much word for word plagiarism from the book of Revelations and a few old testament books?

I don't won't to be confrontational but the Bible clearly states that the last prophet was John (not fakes like mohammad, Casey, Blavatsky or old Nostradamus)

MATTHEW 11:13 - For all the prophets and the law prophesied UNTIL JOHN.

Thanks for your reply. I think we have to agree to disagree on Nostradamus; his family had already converted before he was born in the south of France. I'm wondering if you have him confused with Rasputin, the Russian monk who served the last Russian tsar in the 19th century?

Anyway, at the time that Jesus spoke, of course that is true; but the Bible also tells us in Joel 2:28-29, "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit unto all flesh, and your sons and daughters shall prophecy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit". I take that to mean that since the Bible has been edited and rewritten by wicked people many times, that the One God will warn all of his children of what is to come.

I looked it up and I WAS confusing mad prophets!! Sorry about that, but, my original premise has not changed and it would not matter who we were talking about, based on the scriptures I quoted.

As for your reference to Joel, very good use there. Now we have to decide is there a difference between prophesying and being a prophet? I believe there is, as any one can prophecy, but that does not by any means make you an original prophet.

Take me for example. I know exactly where I am going when I die, and I know exactly what will happen to this world in the near future based on the Bible. So if I go out and tell people about what i know, that would be me prophesying. But it would not make me a prophet since I didn't receive these revelations personally. Hints why Jesus said prophets are through....BECAUSE the Holy Bible was complete, no need for prophets any more. If there was need for prophets still, that would mean God's Bible is not complete. Far be if from me to ever claim this....I fear God, as you may know

What think ye? I'm enjoying researching these new age prophets. Most seem shady though.
