I was just on another forum I go on and noticed a report from Feb 10 mentioning that BAe Systems used to use a deep section of a mine for experiments.
Now my question is what kind of experiments would need to use a deep mine

Being very deep it sounds like it could have gotten very nasty if things went wrong or right? With radioactive radon present that does present as a clue.

I don't think the radon has anything.to do with it as its a naturally occuring gas in areas with limestone.
