Great photo's. The most recent SOHO images I have seen look like a spiral to me. Anybody else? Someone should start a thread on the spiral look of the filament if it holds up isn't some temporary flux.

It seems that it erupted creating a C2 class flare.
Not directed at Earth however.

I guess that goes some way in answering the question on the first page that there isn't really a correlation with the size of the filament and the size of the flare it could produce.
Mind you it was still more than I expected.
