Since 2005, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington has highlighted the most egregious violators of the public trust in our annual Most Corrupt Members of Congress report. Now, CREW has begun a list of Crooked Candidates to shine the spotlight on some of the lousy politicians vying for federal office in 2010.

In compiling the list, CREW left aside all incumbents. CREW’s research team poured over news articles, blogs and public records to find those candidates who have engaged in criminal or unethical conduct. The list is intended to complement our ongoing effort to ensure those representing our country exemplify the values of honesty and integrity.

CREW recognizes that with 2,300 people running for federal office this year, our list is by no means complete. In fact, we may not even have found the worst!

* Roy Blunt (R) U.S. Senate, MO
* Charlie Crist (I) U.S. Senate, FL
* Jeff Denham (R) U.S. House, CA
* Alvin Greene (D) U.S. Senate, SC
* Timothy Griffin (R) U.S. House, AR
* J.D. Hayworth (R) U.S. Senate, AZ
* Ed Martin (R) U.S. House, MO
* Kendrick Meek (D) U.S. Senate, FL
* Dino Rossi (R) U.S. Senate, WA
* Marco Rubio (R) U.S. Senate, FL
* Allen West (R) U.S. House, FL

Now before you get your republican panties in a wad, this list isn't finished. I am sure there will be other Dems to make the list. I am also sure republicans will continue to outnumber them.

All I can say is nice try.

"We are progressive," said Naomi Seligman, the group's deputy director and communications director

Though officially listed as non-partisan CREW has been described as being liberal.
Most of their legal complaints target members of Congress, but as
Roll Call stated in a January 2008 article
"all but a handful of its complaints against Members of Congress have targeted Republicans"
(of those few complaints against Democrats,
almost all are against conservative Democrats or Democrats that take conservative positions on issues like abortion and the Iraq War).

Donors to CREW include such liberal groups as George Soros' Open Society Institute, Democracy Alliance, Service Employees International Union, the Arca Foundation, and the Gill Foundation

Nothing but rabblerousing.

Of course, given this is "nonpartisan" admittedly progressive group.
I'll make a prediction.

I sense they're also not to fond of The Tea Party.

Wow. A liberal group accusing republicans of being crooked. I'm sure some are. So are the democrats. That's why the two party system needs to meet it's end. Just bear in mind, when Democrats took control of both houses of congress, the budget defecit was 200 million. Now we're at 1.4 trillion. Facts are stubborn things. But here's the proof of the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people.www.youtube.com...

PS. In reviewing your threads, they all seem to be political in nature, with an extreme bias towards liberalism. It's ok to argue the merits of your position within the context of a given post, but do you have some kind of conspiritorial point, or do you just like to argue? It seems like you pretty much like to start threads to slam anyone who doesn't agree with you. Kind of like a troll..............It's almost as if you were paid to.............nah.......couldn't be............

Damn, they sure are. Like the fact that when Obama took office, the deficit was $400 billion, NOT $200 million.

Glad you asked. I did not intend to come across trollish, nor slam opposing viewpoints. I am just tired of there being 42 threads about Obama is a socialist, and the democrats are eating babies. The other Liberal ATSers have gave up trying to talk the crazies back from Preposterousville, and the political maddness board has become very unbalanced. I do feel strongly about my beliefs. And I get tired of everyone here viewing all liberals, as one person described, as drug addicted, mooching, irresponsible criminals. Most of my friends, family and acquaintances are liberal and that stuff pissed me off. I am here to bring some balance back, and defend what I believe is a noble position.

I knew it!

My first instinct was that this website, like many other left-wing sites, was funded by George Soros.

Thanks Oaktree for digging up the truth about this site! They hid there true intentions very well.

I loved how they threw Alvin Greene in the mix, just to throw things off! Nice try!

This I have no argument for........Repubicans are just as horrible as Demoncrats..........the whole damn lot of them need to go , and we need to start fresh with some people with integrity

I am with throwing out about 90% of them. I would like to keep a couple that I like.

I wonder if democrats are just better at masking their corruption.

I still have to FOE you though, sorry.

Pretty stupid to make it a partisan issue.

Their 15 most corrupt list is 8 D's and 7 R's.

www.crewsmostcorrupt.org...

Going through their previous reports is just sad for the voting population.

To make it partisan is, probably a T&C violation here but, an absolutely moronic thing. Intentionally moronic even. Going out of ones way to be ignorant and stupid.

LoL you can foe me thats fine, I havent been "foed" in a long time.

As far as your response.......I dont think Dems are any better at masking their corruption at all, in fact, one doesnt have to look very hard to see right through it.

To me they are pretty bold and up front about what their viewpoints are and where they want to go with it......

If one is truly objective and not trying to tow a party line, its quite easy to see the corruption and lies on both sides of the party isle candidates
