New Orleans, Louisiana (CNN) -- The man leading the federal response effort to the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster is expected to announce Wednesday that an "integrity test" on the ruptured oil well will go forward, barring any last-minute objections from government scientists, a BP source told CNN.

The BP source told CNN the delay was the government's decision, saying BP employees and scientists were comfortable with "preliminary pre-testing" readings, but the government team had some concerns and wasn't ready to go to the next level.

Thoughts? This is good news! There making slow but steady progress with this oil spill.

Maybe the government scientist will still have objections, but BP will go ahead anyway and cause another huge explosion collapsing the seafloor. This way the feds can say that they weren't involved and were against the testing.

Good thinking! That way the government can say they were against it all along! Better safe then sorry I suppose.
