Abby is damned lucky she had technology on her side for her trip.
Just my 2 cents, I love sailing, fishing, fascinated by the ocean and what's under there. Would have loved to have my own boat at the age of 14. That became a reality 3 years ago. Unfortunately it isn't sail powered but that's in the 15 yr plan.
Heh, the only way the kids would get the boat would be over my dead body(literally), and we aren't even going to have the bloody thing before the youngest is 14 short of a lotto win.
Sorry, rambling, glad she is alive and still had a positive experience to tell the world. It isn't something I would have contemplated alone at 14.
