Did I hear him correctly at about 48-49 minutes that he believes there will NOT be inflation, but that there will be deflation of the currency? Right after he says he has a lot of his holdings in gold.

I wasn't sure if I heard him right but I couldn't rewind the stream to hear it a second time.

This is correct. Inflation of money supply means deflation of currency.
