I'm somewhat disappointed.
I must confess a slight thrill at the thought of being a mere puppet,
appearing in a convoluted drama staged by some nefarious Geppetto.

i love how you broke this down.
i am white and i have privledes.
my privledges include:
1:being unemployed
2:being denied work when the hispanic behind me gets the job.
3:not able to get financial assistance when the hispanic and black people do.
4:being homeless and bouncing from place to place because i cant get housing.
5:being told i am racist for having these thoughts.

you cannot be white, and have a thought about anybodies race without being labeled and shunned.
but, it is perfectly acceptable for blacks to blatantly discriminate against whites and its supposed to be ok because of the injustices that my ancestors have caused.

when there are more minorities in a place than the "majorities", then why are they still called " minorities"?

Reading this thread, it reminded me of a bulletin a friend of mine posted on Myspace. It is pretty in-your-face, and in my opinion results in more frustration than anything else it is trying to result in.

...And then there are just -

Americans.

"Whitey," "Caveman,"

... And that's OK.

But when I call you Ni*ger,

Ki*e, Towel head,

Sand-nig*er, Camel Jockey,

Beaner, Go*k, or C*ink

... You call me a racist.

You say that whites commit a lot

of violence against you,

so why are the ghettos the most

dangerous places to live?

You have the United Negro College Fund.

You have Martin Luther King Day.

You have Black History Month.

You have Cesar Chavez Day.

You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi.

You Have Yom Hashoah.

You have the NAACP.

And you have BET.

If we had WET

(White Entertainment Television)

... We'd be racists.

If we had a White Pride Day

... You would call us racists.

If we had White History Month

... We'd be racists.

If we had any organization for only whites

to "advance" OUR lives

... We'd be racists.

We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,

a Black Chamber of Commerce,

and then we just have the plain

Chamber of Commerce.

Wonder who pays for that?

If we had a college fund that only gave

white students scholarships

... You know we'd be racists.

There are over 60 openly-proclaimed

Black-only Colleges in the US ,

yet if there were "White-only Colleges"

... THAT would be a racist college.

In the Million Man March,

you believed that you were

marching for your race and rights.

If we marched for our race and rights,

... You would call us racists.

You are proud to be black,

brown, yellow and orange,

and you're not afraid to announce it.

But when we announce our white pride

... You call us racists.

You rob us,

carjack us,

and shoot at us.

But, when a white police officer

shoots a black gang member

or beats up a black drug-dealer

who is running from the LAW and

posing a threat to ALL of society

... You call him a racist.

I am proud.

... But, you call me a racist.

Why is it that only

whites

can be racists?

There is nothing improper about this e-mail.

Like I said, it is pretty in-your-face.. and the only thing I agree with is that whites are the only people considered racist. This must stop, and all racial tension must come to an end! Me, well, I do not see color, and the language used in the above bothered me (I edited it out for the mods). Everyone are human beings. There is no race, and there is no gender. Everyone is part of a whole, in my opinion. I think everyone needs to "quit their crying" and learn to love everyone! And people need to quit blaming each other for everything, especially if those everythings happened long ago by past generations. I have never had any racial problems with anyone because I am "white". So...I do not get all the hooplah about it.

Blacks and Indians owned White slaves in America, as did White slave owners. Slavery wasn't about race at all. It was about money. But you're right, the most brutal slavery has always been carried out in Africa by Africans.

I understand your frustration but you should learn history.

It will help to take your focus off of such superficial issues like ethnicity...

You skin color is not the cause of your problems.
