The Church of Scotland (Prodestant) has expressed concern that they are not doing enough for people who have been possessed.

Scroll down to the 'Kirk tackles demons' story.

As the article states, this certainly will not help people with mental health problems to be accepted as members of society if it is widely publicised. Thankfully, I don't think the majority of people really listen to what the church has to say, and understand mental health problems well enough not to blame them on demonic possesion. Especially now, as the government is running a TV advertising campaign against ostracising the mentally ill, religion should not be allowed to interfere

Have to admit that the COS is going to be busy in Fife then! Especially in Lochgelly!

As for the mental health?

I work in Mental Health and yes, some of their behaviour does look a little demonic, but they can't help it...they are mentally ill!

Have to admit it though, when people go nuts and start to chuck things about, which you have to deal with, you wish that you had magical powers..or a really big needle full of tranqs!

Ah well, Since several mental health hospitals are closing and putting their residents into the community, well see how they do?
