Its amazing how not even a year ago, quantum computers were theoretical and everyday "sci-fi" technology is becoming closer to reality.

This is truly amazing. It was recently that we could even really see an electron. Now we can control them! We will probably have some crazy stuff in the next few years.

Typically there is about a 10-15 year period between breakthrough and consumer product...and another 10 years before such things become common affordable household products.

Expect quantum computers about mid-century.

i will most certainly be there with that happens

and who knows....at the rate we've been accelerating...who's to say it won't be half that time...maybe it will be closer to 25 years.
