Rooting around checking weather I thought to check out the snowpack back east and tried to figure out were all that snow would go when it melts and ran across this:

www.weather.gov...

As reported now,out of 4496 gauges, 109 show flooding, with another 100 near flood. 4 gauges show major flooding (1 around Jamestown, others near Grand Forks), 13 moderate, 92 minor.

The remarkable thing is that:

a. they are mostly clustered in the southeast

b. it isn't raining there

c. major snow/rain is on the way in a few hours

Depending upon temperatures, we could be seeing some major flooding quite soon.

Let's cross our fingers and hope for the best for them.

If you live in the southeast, please prepare, just in case: there's few things deadlier than a winter flood.

With luck, the floods will not come, and the people there will be safe.

With all of these freak weather patterns, and earthquakes, and pandemics it conjours up in my mind the images we hear about at the end of the Bible... Lets hope that it's just a story.
