After the 8 hours had passed, Lesnar started making a miraculous recovery, and surgery to remove his colon was deemed unnecessary. Story in a nutshell- because he came back to America and was seen by doctors who actually knew what they were doing in a timely matter, this man's career and possibly LIFE was saved.

My Canadian friend had to wait over Two Years for carpel tunnel surgery.
She is a widow trying to raise her son and a two year wait was a definate hardship.
Trying to get a mri or pet scan in Canada without a looong wait is about impossible; this costs lives.
No wonder so many Canadians come to the USA for Many medical services thet are rationed in their own country.
If health Deform comes to America I have a feeling it will be worse than Canada.

I dont think health care reform will ever come to america.
As far as the canadian system...well....it may not be the best for major ailments, but if you just need to get into to see a doc about something then its far better then here, where you simply cant do that if you arent insured, and even if you are you still have a to pay a bunch of cash.
New zealand, same thing, yeah you might wait a few days for that tendon surgery, but at least it wont cost you your lifes savings when you get it done.
A year or so ago, my GF fainted in her hallway and split her chin open. We spent 4 hours at the hospital, got a couple stitches, ran a few tests to find out why she fainted, which by the way revealed nothing. Total cost out of pocket...2500 dollars! Come on, thats ridiculous. The only real problem I see with health care is how much everything costs, and that will NEVER change. You can come up with a system to spread the bill around a little better butt he costs of treatment will only go up.
The solution tot he healthcare issue is the same as every other issue facing mankind....very simple...reduce the population until the mean standard of living is higher and easier to achieve.
I see health care as just another overpopulation issue.
