Kenneth Arnold gives his account of what he saw 63 years ago that led to the term 'Flying Saucer'. This is the man we have to thank for modern ufology !

This little video is for anyone who hasn't had the chance to see it before and put a face to the man behind the 'Flying Saucers' quote !

This is from a british weekly documentary of the 80's. The commentary is from a former "News at Ten" anchorman, Gordon Honeycombe. The series may have been called "Mysterious World" or similar. Kenneth Arnold didn't coin the flying saucer term though, he said that the craft "looked like a saucer skipping over water" the press would have made the jump to "Flying saucer"

edit to add, The series was actually called Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World, although the majority of episodes featured Gordon Honeycombe.

skipping over water"

Perhaps a somewhat erratic flight.
Check out how these two Foos bounce around.
If they where flying straight and bouncing around the 'skipping over
water' might apply.

These can not be advanced saucers.
More like the original one man Foo with a single engine.
