Actually your examples of Capitalism are terrible. MCI, SWBell, and AT&T got heaps and heaps of government bailouts and tax breaks. So they are not the best examples. Also there is nothing wrong with capitalism but when a company like Walmart or Nike blatantly breaks the law and uses slave labor to make their bottomline that's not capitalism. For capitalism to function properly capitalists have to be accountable, honest, and operate with some sense of integrity.

You can take a _________ out of the _________ but you can't take the ______ out of the ___________

Insert whatever moniker you'd like. And I guarantee your "friends" are sending their kids to private schools as well.

No you're just the type of hypocrite that will excuse laziness, ignorance, irresponsibility, drug use, as long as it fits your mold of people. Rich, white elitist scum don't happen to fit your mold.

Oh you mean like this?

You can take the snob out of your a-hole but you can't take the a-hole out of the snob.

Oh and one other thing. They didn't send them to private school and they do lots of charity work with their money. They still shop at walmart because they would rather use their money to help others than waste it on some overpriced store just to say they don't shop at wamart.

So I bet you shop at a very fancy place like target because that is so much higher class.

Wowww
this is obviously not the place for a break from giant issues.
Cant we just laugh at jerks?
should have gotten the photos outside of Wal-Mart.
For all you people bashing the OP cause he was having a chuckle at these peoples expense shake your head, ohh there poor? Thats their excuse for going out like that? Ive been to Africa and seen poor, and even they have the moral decency to cover themselves up to the best of their ability. Its not the clothes that makes it funny, its the lack of self respect.
and by funny i mean PATHETIC!!!!
You all hate wal mart so much how many of you have held a sign up? or did something about it? My guess is if someone ahs on here they are the minority cause the majority of you will rush to your keyboard and type out some sort of rebellion or resistance to the man, then go out and maybe mutter something under your breath as you pass one of the 5 Wal- Marts in your area. I work in the US i seen them, where were you after the first one opened?
Calling the OP elitist? are you kidding me you people are elitists who thinky our far better than a wal mart but dont have the effort to do anything about it.
So yeah me and the OP are gonna have a cheap chuckle at these fat, ugly, probably poor, SOB's who think that they can walk out in public dressed like that.
GET SOME GODDAMN CLASS, AND TAKE A LITTLE PRIDE IN YOUR APPEARANCE!!!!!!!!!!!
i can hear your replies now calling me a make-up wearing fairy, well if its a choice between the two this fairy is gonna do up his hair, put on his suit, and laugh at jerks like you.

If I want to have a laugh at expense of the people shown here, that's my right.

If I want to walk around wearing a pink chaps, a tank top, and a turban, that would also be my right.

If I have to go to walmart to get a shirt for five buck because I am only 8.25 an hour because I was never able go to college due to my homes financial situation, that's a failure of the system.

in my honest opinion:

if you are that obese... you are:

1) A glutton... if you are a glutton, you are:
2)Lacking Self Control... if you lack that, you:
3)Lack Will power... without will power, you're:
4)Lazy... if you're lazy, you happen to be:
5)Non-caring... if you dont care, you:
6)Have no motivation... without motivation, you:
7)Are depressed... when you're depressed your:
8)Pathetic... and the pathetic are usually:
9)Selfish... and a selfish human being is:
10)NOT CONTRIBUTING TO SOCIETY... which means:
11)They could possibly be a waste of humanity...

i'm just sayin...

im just playin, god bless them for making mcdonalds and walmart the american way... and most likely getting gigantic benefits for their typically self-induced health problems...

its sad as hell... but honestly, you cant blame walmart and mcdonalds for the lack of motivation in this country... if anyone ruined this country it was people that have no push anymore! get out and DO SOMETHING, jog, run, walk, wtf man...

No that would be a failure of your parents and/or yourself. You weren't born with a right to higher education.

Maybe you can keep shoping at walmart to save money and go apply for some financial aid to go to college.

Anti-Wal-Mart sentiments are anti-American and anti-Capitalist at their core.

Here is the way I mess with people's minds.... this is a great example.... Breyer's Ice Cream. The same package, same weight, same product, not a cheapo product. At Wal-Mart it is $3.00 and at other grocery stores it is $5.30 which is a huge difference in price. Would you pay 76% more for something just so you didn't have to go to ewwwww Wal-Mart? The whole store is choke full of desirable name brands at lowest price. Wal-Mart rules and the liberal left can't stand it.

When you use this ice cream example on people it always disturbs their world view.

No we weren't but I think that it would be nice if higher education was an entitlement. But wait! Who would swell the ranks of the military or pack my groceries?

never mind.

Oh yeah gimme a break! Everyone who is poor, lazy, obese, having kids out of wedlock, drinking themselves into a cirrhotic coma is a result of the system??????????????? Since when the hell did America become such a socialist cesspool of liberal whimps!

You know my father was an immigrant. When the Nazis invaded Poland my grandmother took him to Paris and raised him until he was 10. At which time she died. He never knew his father who was killed by the Nazis. He was in an orphanage from age 10 till age 18. At 18 he was kicked out no matter what. You either work, go to school or become a bum. My father worked his butt off and eventually moved to the USA. He NEVER I REPEAT NEVER asked for a dime anyone nor EVER took a penny from the government. He worked hard his whole life and put three boys through college. He died when I was 24 years old at the age of 63. My father took pride in everything he did and he passed those virtues down to me. My father ALWAYS place an emphasis on education and knowledge.

Fast forward.........I worked VERY hard to get to where I am in life and am sick and disgusted to see what's happening to my country. I'm middle class..........I'm not poor, and I'm not rich. Far from both. But I never got hooked on drugs, always realized the dangers of drinking too much even during college while most of my friends were nursing hangovers from their weekend binges. I ALWAYS have taken care of myself physically making sure I exercise not only to keep myself looking good but also to keep myself FIT physically so I don't have to rely on other people nor the "system". My wife and I work our but off and we've saved and planned to have our first kid in our thirties when we are both able to provide a good, solid life for our children instead of having 3 kids at 22.

So you bet your arse when I think I'm better than some yahoo morons shopping at Walmart raising their kids in the same vicious cycle they and their family members before them have failed to break out of. Screw the system! I'm sick of paying into a system that nurtures and enables the trash I see ruining my country be it the poor or the rich. Yes there are A LOT of people dealt a crappy hand in life...........but even THAT is no excuse to have zero self respect and worst of all bring another human being into your life of self respect and self pity. Since when is it shameful to hold yourself and others up to certain standards and expectations???????? After expectations are what made the USA the greatest most prosperous country in the world. Expectation of being responsible, pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps, holding yourself accountable. Seems like many in this thread have more in common with these shoppers at Walmart than they do with anyone else. Did this post hit too close to home?

Nothing wrong with sarcasm, but you take the risk of going 'over the top' when you use it.

Maybe if you had made a a comment about reading a fashion mag once in a while..... or suggested an episode of dress for success.....

But eugenics and depopulation? (implied to a specific group)

You kinda overshot the runway on that one.

It's not always about making others happy but if you piss off everybody when you walk in the front door then the party just goes downhill from there.

Just what a country that is 12trilion in debt needs.. a few more entitlements. Maybe you should borrow some books from the Library about great men in history who made something out of themselves even though they were poor by exhibiting a character trait caled perseverance.

Also, you mentioned the military.. a great way to earn an education an gain some life skills in the process.

Sorry but ICE CREAM is a DAMN LUXURY! It's not a necessity. And no I don't care how cheap Walmart is I won't shop there. And sorry I don't like Breyer's and Breyer's is no Haagan Daaz that's for sure. But you know what I do? I buy ice cream ON SALE!

As for soaps and other crap not only do I not buy Walmart crap I don't buy ANY soaps with all the chemicals and preservatives in them like Leaver 2000, Dial etc. They are filled with chemicals. I support local soap makers in CA who use all natural preservative free ingredients. I also try to support artisan producers as much as possible.

I'll GIVE YOU A GREAT EXAMPLE........how much is a thing of bacon at Walmart? Maybe $2-$3? Well here in CA we have Trader Joe's. A VERY affordable and healthy grocery store with great products. I can buy a thing of Niman Ranch uncured bacon for under $5. I think it's $4.30. Now I'm sorry but if you can't afford to spend a few more dollars on a product that not only tastes better but also BETTER for you then well I don't know what to say. You know what? MY CELL PHONE IS TEN YEARS OLD AND MY T.V. IS OLD AND WEIGHTS ABOUT 200 lbs and needs a big flat surface to sit on.

My point being PEOPLE NEED TO GET THEIR DAMN PRIORITIES STRAIGHT! You know how many so called "poor people" that have brand new cell phones and the women have $100 manicures? My wife who makes $70K a year doesn't even spend the money on her hair and nails as some "poor" welfare recipients do.

So you all in this thread can take your poor me attitude and SHOVE IT!
