Yes I remember reading about this. What my carrier did to combat this threat was to allow me to setup a password, then every time I wanted to take my
phone out of standby to use it I had to enter a password. Then even if somebody clones your phone, if they don't have your secret password they
can't use it. So search the database online for your phone carrier and find out how to setup a password, I think that should prevent the hacking, but
I'm not an expert, that's just what I read.
I didn't setup a password and I never had a problem but now after reading your story I can see why they're needed.
