1. Agreed Obama can smack his lips in a pleasing manner, with a hypnotic cadence, and a startling ability to resist making up words that make him sound like a complete goob.

2. More Obama voters need to pay attention to what he is doing as opposed to what he is saying.

3. Agreed Obama is crafty. I haven't seen him do anything but want to wipe industry's ass like the other Democrats and Republicans who have been bought and sold for years on the open market called campaign finance.

4. Every person deserves healthcare. I know a public system can work if it has choices, I don't think this plan will benefit anyone but the healthcare industry. At least now I don't HAVE to pay for the crappy system that sucks you dry like a 500-lb mosquito.

5. B.S. Obama is a Corporatist just like Bush before him. He hasn't changed enough of Bush's policies to be called anything else.

6. B.S. America has been imperialist nation for a long time. As the one superpower you bet we played the role of the 800 lb arrogant gorilla as far as we could. Hubris sucks on both ends.

7. Yes Obama has proven himself a true politician and is therefore as slippery as a lamprey and twice as bloodthirsty.

8.. Republicans are in the wilderness yes, they can point out the ineffectiveness of Obama's response, but have not offered any coherent retort. Republicans are pining for another Reagan, but there will never be another like him - and there shouldn't be. Sarah Palin is not sincere and has the intelligence of a 2-week old turd.
The Republican party will never move lower taxes, smaller government, personal responsibility, strong national defense, and state's rights to it's priorities. Neither will the Democrats. They are both owned by the same people and none of that is on their agenda.

9. The current level of spending is irresponsible and outrageous. We are spending trillions that we don't have. This will lead to hyperinflation and a depression, too late now for anything else. People will realize the huge bailouts didn't work, nor will the stimulus package. Agreed.

10. The election was over in mid-September when Lehman brothers failed, fear and panic swept in, we had an unpopular President, and the war was grinding on indefinitely without a clear outcome. The people are in pain, and the mantra of change caused people to act emotionally. Agreed.

I however do not find it surprising that it was as close as it was because I don't think our votes count anymore. I think since the installation of easliy-hacked voting machines TPTB will ensure all future elections end up just sooooo close at a 51/49 split.

11. Doesn't get it at all. Red and Blue, shirts and skins, when both coaches are on the take it doesn't matter who is on the field.

I as many others have noticed that since the election ATS has been flooded with Republicans who have suddenly gone all conspiracist without really knowing WTF is going on. They run around starting threads with Republican pundits from Fox News as sources and decry Obama's Police State and Socialist bailouts. Bush did the same on both accounts. The policies have not changed, just your position on them because there is a different team at the helm of the sinking ship. I got some news folks - it's been coming since WWII and Republicans were at the helm for most of that time. You are just noticing now because the talking heads you listen to are playing the part of the opposition. When the same stuff was going down on Bush's watch they bent over backwards to make the world seem like peaches and sunshine.

As Krauthammer is really intelligent and as respected as he is, after what he said about Obama. Wow this really put it all in perspective for me. Im definitely for Obama's "public" intentions like free education and making health care available for the less fortunately but as for his "inner" intentions such as more power and control of the world as Krauthammer stated, well not so much for that.
I know this may sound a little off topic but it all adds up, "LIKE CONNECTING THE PIECES TO THE GREATEST PUZZLE". I am of open mind with the intent of discovering the answers in my spare time but hear me out. I have considered all methods like philosophy, science, mathematics, religion taking a great interest in prophecies and predictions based on all of these methods.
At the time Obama was elected I heard of many people saying was satan. I also recall a prophecy saying that within that time the great beast was to be in the white house in Washington. Hmm kinda makes you think about based on what is happening today. As it is said that satan was one of the greatest deceivers ever, I believe in the end we will all look back and realize how we were deceived by this "Great Lie".
Hmm is it also a coincidence that Obama is up for re election in the year "2012"?
Now what is it that many ancient cultures, religions, prophets, and psychics say will happen in 2012. A Great Change, A Global Cataclysm, The Next Shift for Humanity.
Im not saying Obama is Satan or anything like that but kind of makes me think more about it.

One guy doesn't change the world, you should take more attention to all the lobbys - and the "dark forces" around politics.

And you will see that "nothing change" : same people - same lobbys ? Do it again - and one more time peole forgot. we change the and do it again ! and people forgot everything, and one more time ... etc , etc etc

Infinite stupidity.

The problem is in the structure of the society we want - and in a vertical society with a "god-father" who will decide and think for everyone, or a horizontal society.

To answer this point by point...

(1) I actually agree with the first sentiment totally and really stopping another Bush/Clinton tag team presidency is why I voted for Obama in the primaries...and I voted for him in the election because I wasn't about to vote for McCain and the bimbo. Also all politicians playing at the highest levels have their poker face...that is not something specific to Obama.

(2) I also agree with this one and again watching what they do as opposed to what they say is true of all politicians, not just Obama.

(3) All politicians have a thirst for power and the higher they rise the greater the thirst...again it is not something specific about Obama...both Nixon and bush minor (both Republicans) were far more imperial presidents in behavior than Obama...so far...we shall see as time goes on though.

As for the rest...its total nonsense. The bailouts and the subsequent boom on Wall street are hardly proof of a desire to dismantle capitalism...which would require a total social, politicial and cultural revolution...not something some president or even congress could do by itself.

I have said it before the powers that be would never allow anyone who was a serious threat to their interests to advance far in the primaries much less win the nomination much less the presidency...and make no mistake they have vetted him throughly and have him in their pocket...if they had any doubts about him they would have brought him down somehow...probably how they did Howard Dean...with ridicule.

(4) This one is entirely speculative.

And, remember the auto and banks came begging to bush minor and Obama inherited the mess...also if you are going to bail out by billions it is absurd to think that the government should not have a say in the process...what are you going to do give them the money with no strings attached? That really would have been irresponsible.

(5) I am far left and I wouldn't call Obama or anyone around him far left. Moderate with definite left leaning but it is more for show than anything else. And I agree with him that Obama is no socialist.

(6) This one is just plain absurd.

(7) All politicians have huge egos that is nothing new and all politicians hand out goodies and hope the bill will come due later...again nothing new. Hell bush minor tried to blame anything they could on Clinton.

(8) The GOP is a mess and shows no progress towards pulling itself together any time soon...if anything it is pulling itself apart with the tug of war between the hard right and the more moderate conservatives. Romney will never get the GOP nomination simply because the religious conservatives will not back a Mormon and he is too moderate for the hard right. If Palin is intelligent she hasn't shown it yet...she has more issues with the English language and sentence structure than bush minor did. Jindahl will probably never live down that idiotic speech in Feb. and even if he does run the Democrats (rightly) will not let him forget it and bring it up every chance they can.

(9) This is subjective so far. Yes the current levels of spending are outrageous and unsubstainable but the GOP has no other suggestions to offer except cut taxes and while that is a great mantra most people understand that that is only a superficial answer.

As for spending their way into prosperity...that is also subjective...some economists say its not possible others say it is.

(10) The election was over when McCain "canceled" his campaign and ran off to DC even though there was nothing there for him to do. It made him look like a craven fool.

(11) The unemployment rate will only be part of it. As it stands the GOP has no ideas other than no. They will need to offer something tangible to even have a chance...as it is the past 9 months they have done nothing than give the Democrats plenty of fodder against them.

If the GOP wants to win anything next year they have to stop acting like petulant little brats and start offering actual substancial alternatives...being the party of no will get them nowhere.

As it stands right now the GOP have no one...absloutely no one who could run against Obama in 2012 and have a snowball's chance in winning.

Right now if I were a betting man I would say November a year from now will see the Democrats still controlling congress...but probably not by as large a majority as now.

The problem is in the structure of the society we want - and in a vertical society with a "god-father" who will decide and think for everyone, or a horizontal society.

With the Bank/Corporate Cartels in charge of our education system and the media since early 1911 and 1917 respectively, the sheeple have been brainwashed into wanting a nanny state. In 1942 the cartels officially formed a group called the Committee for Economic Development, They are a sister organization to the Council on Foreign Relations.

One of the objectives of CED was to get rid of the independence of the US population. The CED “solution” was to eliminate millions of farmers. By the 1970's their plan was complete. "CED's plans resulted in widespread social upheaval throughout rural America, ripping apart the fabric of its society destroying its local economies. They also resulted in a massive migration to larger cities. " link

In the early 20th century we had an integrated society who depended on each other not the federal government, for support. A family/Individual in need was helped by their extended family or the town as a whole. As child I vividly remember the support given to one of our local families. The Doctor provided free health care, the churches -ALL of them - provided food, clothing and furniture, the local craftsmen provided free labor to rebuild their home. Now, a couple generations later, you get a dirty look if you say hi to your neighbor, at least up north.

I really do not think the USA is salvagable. Obama and Congress are going to bankrupt the Country. The International Monetary Fund will impose their SAPs and we will join the rest of the nations in poverty and starvation.

The late 20th century will go down in world history as a period of global impoverishment marked by the collapse of productive systems in the developing world, the demise of national institutions and the disintegration of health and education programs. This "globalization of poverty"--which has largely reversed the achievements of post-war decolonization--was initiated in the Third World coinciding with the onslaught of the debt crisis. Since the 1990s, it has extended its grip to all major regions of the world including North America, Western Europe, the countries of the former Soviet block and the Newly Industrialized Countries (NICs) of South East Asia and the Far East.

The bankers are now intent on fleecing and then controlling the whole world. They have just about completed their goals. With the Lisbon treaty and the G.W. Bush agreement to "harmonize" US law with that of the EU “...to push ahead with regulatory convergence in nearly 40 areas...”
This means the US is no longer an "Independent Nation" instead it is now visibly under foreign control.

“In a sweeping move that has garnered surprisingly little attention this week the United States and the European Union have signed up to a new transatlantic economic partnership that will see regulatory standards “harmonized” .., a huge step on the path to a new globalized world order.” The BBC reported (news.bbc.co.uk...) from the Summit in Washington on Monday: stopspp.com...

The overview suggests that the standards development process organized by national, regional and international standards institutions is progressively evolving. The role of international bodies has gained prominence. The national standardization infrastructures of most industrialized countries are now integrated into the network of international standardization. In Europe, for instance, adoption of European standards is mandatory for national member bodies and European standards organizations transpose the international standards into European standards. The World Trade Organization: WORLD TRADE REPORT 2005 C pg 114 thru117

The harmonization of laws, regulations and standards between and among trading partners requires intense, complex, time-consuming negotiations by CFSAN officials. Harmonization must simultaneously facilitate international trade and promote mutual understanding, while protecting national interests and establish a basis to resolve food issues on sound scientific evidence in an objective atmosphere. Failure to reach a consistent, harmonized set of laws, regulations and standards within the freetrade agreements and the World Trade Organization Agreements can result in considerable economic repercussions. www.cfsan.fda.gov...

These are a bold faced lie of course. For two reasons.

"
“In ratifying and implementing the WTO trade agreements, Congress expressly stipulated that “nothing in this Act shall be construed…to amend or modify any law of the United States, including any law relating to…the protection of human, animal, or plant life or health.”
Harvard Law

The remedy is available:
This [Supreme] Court has regularly and uniformly recognized the supremacy of the Constitution over a treaty." - Reid v. Covert, October 1956, 354 U.S. 1, at pg 17 A treaty can be nullified by a statute passed by the U.S. Congress (or by a sovereign State or States if Congress refuses to do so), when the State deems a treaty the performance of a treaty is self-destructive.

However since the cartels control Congress, congress is not about to act in the interest of US citizens.

I see this post as proof that the MSM's mind control is working. All partisan politics are a distraction. STOP WITH THE PARTISAN POSTS! You are only distracting us from the true problem of the money masters who really rule our world. Obama is a puppet, bush is a puppet, clinton was a puppet, you don't get to play president unless you are a puppet! DIVIDE AND CONQUER. Thats all they want. Let's be true Americans and get past these partisan politics and focus on the Federal REserve, and the financial institutions that rule our lives. Monetary policy will only come when the real Americans stop fighting about left/right b.s. and work together to overthrow the corportacracy.

The only thing that "intellectual" Krauthammer has done upto now, is writing derisive, demeaning columns about Obama and the democrats. His unpleasant hatred for Obama has been shining through in all his writings. Read The WaPo's comments by him and be enlightened to the fact that he is a thinly veiled hateful, fearmongering bigot (I read all his columns in the WaPo).

Believe it on your own account. On the other hand, the stated "sayings" by Krauthammer in the OP, are a bit much, even for him, and I smell a spindoctor softly giggling behind the curtains.

This "speech" doesn't sound like him if compared to his writings.

I thought the same thing. Maybe he's right. Time will tell. There were a lot of suppositions in there; what the (the Dr.) "believes". We'll see. Unfortunately, far too much right vs left rhetoric. Those days are over. Obama and McCain fed out of the same trough. I could go on but....

Last I checked Obama had 53% of the popular vote. I would hardly call that overwhelming. What is overwhelming are his plummeting poll numbers. Down Down down. The swing voters are waking up to a nightmare that they helped to create.
A little money helps in the process as well. Obama was a marketing master.
Obama spent $513,557,218
McCain spent $346,666,422

Forget these idiots and whatever they say about our "national debt". Forget Obama. You fools believe in that junk?

LOOK AT THOSE FIGURES.

LOOK AT THEM AGAIN.

We are trillions of dollars in debt -- DO YOU THINK THEY CARED?!
