You should take a look at 'Meno' and 'Phedeo', they're two Platonic dialogues that were VERY influential to gnosticism.

Thanks, I will take a look, seemed to be obsessed with Gnosticism and the Pagan's these days.

Thanks for mentioning Marcus Aurelius. I had never been exposed to his works. Even my college Ethics and Philosophy 101 classes never mentioned him. "The Meditations" is quickly becoming one of my favorite works though.
