I've never seen this before

Solar interference to the Satellite is affecting our signal.

That's what it says on my screen at the moment ( i'm in aus). Just wondering if anyone else has seen this before?

Edit: whoops but this in the wrong area, could someone fix sorry. Thanks

It happens at least 3 times a year.

Sun outages are a common thing all TV stations have to be prepared for and usually know about in advance.

The signal being picked up on satellites and being transmitted can be very seriously degraded. The outage usually lasts no longer than 5-15 minutes in most cases.

Not something to worry about... pretty routine.
